Soft brown clay beneath your feet

Moving so delicate but passionately

Neck outstretched, hooves pounding the ground

Dust in my face littering my brow

Our eyes set forward to whatever lays around the corner

The pounding on the ground matches the pounding in my chest

Green grass laid out like our own red carpet

We're the only stars in this movie

Just a cowgirl and her pony

These were the days when we were free, when we were young and naive

Those were the days that I shed millions of tears for just wishing and waiting to meet my trusty steed again

Now your at the pearly gates and all I can think is some day

My heart squeezes painfully when I look over our red carpet knowing that those were days I'll never have back

Every sunny day I think of how you looked so beautiful standing under the gleaming sun your coat shinging like a bronze statue, your mane so white like a winter snowscape

I dream of those days every night when we owned the earth whenever we walked on it

I miss the days when we stepped into the show ring and you pranced so proudly earning everyones eyes and every plaque we brought home with us

I miss you mostly because you were my best friend

There's things I told you when I sat in the field that no one has every known about me

And I know you'd only understand

Thank you everyone for reading my stories

I will be posting one shortly all about Ranger Kian, you might think it's silly but no one has any idea how much his death affected me and how much I miss him even though it was awhile ago. I probably won't be posting much in July because unfortunately on July 3rd it marked the third year I've been missing my little sidekick and it's a very hard time for me, I'm crying writing this because it's so painful to talk about but I will be starting his book called HOOF PRINTS ON THE HEART about how me and Ranger grew up together and how many good times we had together. I love you guys for reading my stories if you would like to inbox me or anything feel free too. I am truly honored that so many have read my poems it means alot to me

Thank you so much
