Harry's POV:

After Professor Dumbledore unleashed the full weight of the prophecy to me, I now felt extremely sad and depressed. My father figure, Sirius, had just died, falling through the veil, and it was all my fault. I should have confirmed that he was not in Grimmauld Place myself, and not trust the words that traitorous elf had said. And how was I to defeat Voldemort, if the phrase 'And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives' applied? Nothing made sense, nothing. And the weight of the prophecy continued to burden me, added with the sadness that had overcome me of Sirius death. I did not know where fate would bring me, for now. The light to my path had seemingly flickered out, and I was blind to where I had to go next.

Hermione's POV:

Poor Harry, he looks so depressed. It would clearly do him no good to stay with the Dursley'again, as he might be kicked around the house and not given sufficient food. This would hardly be the type of environment suited for him, with Sirius death obviously hitting him hard. I could go over and attempt to comfort him, and allow him to feel at peace, even if it was only for a while.

I walked over to where Harry was sitting, on his favourite chair in the common room. I shook his shoulder, speaking,"Harry?" He did not respond, so I continuously shook him and kept on calling his name. He still did not respond, and I realised that he must be thinking over something that must be burdening him. I sighed, and as a last resort, I slapped his cheek. He snapped out of his thinking, and rubbed his cheek, asking incredulously," What was that for?" I could hear the hurt in his voice, and I spoke kindly and caringly" Sorry, I had to get your attention. Would you care to share why you look so depressed? I might be able to help you."

Harry's POV:

Shoot! Hermione's asking me about why I look so depressed, what should I tell her? Should I lie, or should I tell her the truth? Damn it! She's your best friend for god's sake, you can tell her anything!

"Ok. So basically, after Voldemort was chased away, Dumbledore portkeyed me into his office, and he told me about the prophecy that Voldemort had been after. The prophecy goes something like this. 'The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies....' It makes no sense! How am I going to be able to defeat Voldemort, if the prophecy says that he cannot die when I am alive!"

"Harry, I know that all these things maybe bothering you right now, but you should enjoy what time you have left with your friends in school. Maybe you can come to my house in the summer instead of going over to the Burrow, so that I can help you figure out this prophecy."

I considered that. I felt like staying away from magic, and Hermione's house would be the perfect place to stay. After all, since she said that she could help me, then I would gladly accept her help. Plus, I had never gone to her house before and I was curious about how her house was like.

"Ok. But will Dumbledore allow me to? I mean, your house doesn't have any wards to protect us from the Death Eaters, so I would think that Dumbledore would not allow it,"

"Well then, I'll just have to talk to him about it,"Hermione said determinedly

I yawned, sleepily saying," Goodnight Hermione," as I walked up the stairs to the dormitory.

I faintly heard a "Goodnight Harry." from down below.
