I think I've been lied to.

Again.

Maybe you're not understanding, so let's back track a bit.

Everybody lies.

We get that, good.

Friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and even people that are just there in life because you know people thrive off of it.

But.

When you're parents lie to you, I think it's a bit over the top, just a bit.

Well not my parents really.

Just these people that I thought were my parents my whole life and turned into people that have been taking care of me for some other people.

So I'm adopted.

It's not something I like saying out loud.

I just felt betrayed because they could of at least told me when I was younger, you know. Make me used to the whole idea. But I had to find out about it by some other people who I didn't even know existed till this morning, and I've been freaking out ever since.

I didn't know how to react, so I didn't.

I basically left.

Ran.

I was lied to by my parents, the only people I trusted in my life.

It's kinda heartbreaking, but I guess I'll have to get over it.

So I've basically been on a bus for the last 14 hours hoping to god I don't run into to someone I know. It's kind of weird that I'm so far from home and I'm scared someone will see me. There's a reason.

My parents or those people I lived with for like 17 or almost 18, in like 2 weeks.

They run this big corporate company and they're pretty know for it, they kinda famous in that work area so it's hard not to be noticed when you're suppose to be their kid and you're photo is up everywhere with them.

So I've decided to choose a place where no one would suspect, a place where I've never been or mentioned to anyone so they don't accidentally just check if I'm here. I've heard of this place before, but I've never really thought about it. It's in the mountains and my family is more the 'summer all year round type of people'. So any chance they get they would pick up and go on holiday to somewhere hot, a beach most definitely. So even if they did think about it they wouldn't become because it's too cold and " talia would never go there". So here I am now.

Crested Butte, Colorado.

Basically the outskirts of it, more cabin area where I can just get a job in the local diner or something live out my days in the woods. I'm done with the city. There's no going back.

So when I eventually got off the bus and smelled the fresh air, it woke me up a bit. It made me feel that everything could be okay if I just tried. But the problem now was where was I going to go?

I sorta have some funds from birthday money and some I've saved but I don't think it would get me anything great. So I decided on the more half way house type of motel, hopefully it doesn't cost that much.

I walked up to the motel noticing it wasn't as broken down as most are, it looked kinda good. You have the normal building in front, it looked quiet like not many people come and use it, so that should be a good thing.

But something weird was that it's backyard was basically a forest that apparently went on for a good few miles, it was massive. It was pretty cool though, could give me something to do while I'm here. I've always loved exploring and just walking alone just listening. Nothing particular, but anything. It brings peace's to me and gives me time to just think. I used to do it a lot when I was back home. Not that there were any forests in central Hollywood, so I just stuck to the beach and walked along the sand. It was a good therapy session when I needed time to calm down and just let go of the day.

I had finished school, luckily and this whole being adopted thing was just a push over the edge for me to leave. I've always wanted to leave but I kept using school as an excuse for me to stay. I think I was just scared of the unknown and having to rely on no one except yourself and that was pretty scary. But, when I found out I went home packed that is necessary, some warm clothes, passport and some other things that were special to me. I didn't want to take much in case they realized I was gone, I wanted a head start to make sure I was as far away before someone came looking.

So here I was looking up at the door to the motel realizing there was no turning back now. So I walked through the doors and went up to the front desk.

It was a small building with a small front desk. There were couches that lined the wall to the right of me and on the left there were some set of stairs. There were some bathrooms to but I didn't think they were worth mentioning.

There was a women behind the desk and she wore classes that looked way too big for her head. She had short brown hair, almost boy like, and she was in her late 50's. She looked up to me and smiled, it looked genuine but this could be a way to get business.

"Hello, I need a room with just a single bed." I said trying to avoid eye contact, you can never be too sure.

"Sure, how long will you be staying ?" Looking up from her computer.

"I'm not to sure, but I'll pay daily if that's a thing."

"Okay that's fine, whatever you need to do" she handed me the keys to my room. I took them and started carrying my duffel bag to the stairs. Once I got to the top and turned down the long corridor, I got to door number 6 and unlocked it.

It's wasn't a big room but it was big enough for everything in it, it was actually quite cute. The bed was to the left of me and it had this white comforter with a small t.v. directly in front of it. On the right was a door that I'm assuming to be the bathroom, I walked to it and opened it to see a shower bathtub, a sink and a toilet ( all the normal bathroom things). It had tile on the floor and around the walls that were a baby blue color and a white carpet on the floor. I left the bathroom to see a little couch in the corner of the room, not that it would get much use out of since I was only planning on sleeping here. There was only one window that looked out to the back of the motel where the forest was. It was so thick that you could only see like 2 meters deep.

It was late out and I wasn't that tired, weird for someone that just sat on a bus for almost 24 hours. I decided to go for a walk to clear my head. I also wanted to explore the forest for some reason it was quite entrancing, like I my feet just took me there themselves.
