conners pov:
"taylor! wait up you dinkwad" i yelled at my boyfriend as i tried to fit my long lanky limbs through the window frame. this was a normal saturday night for us- sitting on taylor's rooftop looking at the stars, hoping to catch a comet one day.
"babe!" he patted the roof beside him gesturing for me to sit.
"look! i got weed!" taylor exclaimed before adding "it was cheap too! 10 bucks from ambers uncle! he has his own plant!" he pulled out a handful of joints from his old coat pocket.
i face palm wondering how he could be so joyful over weed, but he was happy, i don't see him laugh too much after- well uh we don't talk about it.
"aight gimme a joint then stoner" stretching my hand out towards him, receiving a lit joint in the end.
i take a hit and lay back on the roof, puffing out the smoke into the dimly lit sky. i turn my head towards taylor, his eyes are closed and he has a relaxed expression layering his face.
we lay in the darkness for awhile, letting go cool breeze wash over us. listening to the trees sway in the wind gently, i had always taken a liking to forests and so did michael. my best friend since grade school, he was always there for me and supported me when no one else did ( ex: when i came out).
with that thought i sat up and patted taylor silently saying "let's get out of here". we carefully climbed off the roof and onto the half broken sidewalks.
"so i was thinking we could go to michaels house? i owe him some weed" i quietly ask.
"babe, hun, boo, this is my weed though?" he asks in a questioning tone.
"i know but- your stuff is my stuff?"
"fine i'll let your forest buddy have a joint" he groans out taking another hit and grabbing my hand.
