"I love you." Will said softly as he took my hands and pressed his forehead against mine.
It was past my curfew and my parents were going to kill me, but I couldn't care less. We were still in the parking lot of the cinema talking in his black 1950's Buick.
"I'm scared to go back home." I said as I looked at him knowing he hated how upset I got over the smallest things.
I wish I could never go home, just stay in his arms and forget the judgement of my parents because I'm finally happy. I used to be really close with both of them, I got good grades, I never did anything I wasn't supposed to but I was only pleasing everyone around me. When Will came back in town, my parents and their snobby political friends made this town hell.
At the time, I knew of Will only as far as everyone else. Now, he means the world to me and everyone gives him the reputation of someone I should never be with. Everyone in Brunswick, Georgia has good jobs and weren't really struggling in anyway with money. Will wasn't that though, one of the many things that made him opposite from everyone else in this colorless town. He is a worker and he doesn't make as much money as everyone but money was never a dealbreaker, not for the love I have for him.
"Rose?"
I instantly snapped back into reality at the calling of my name. When I turned I saw slight worry across his tan face.
"Are you worrying again?" he spoke with concern.
I took a deep breath, realizing I was worrying again. I didn't answer as I laid my head on his broad shoulder as he took me home.
