Victorias POV
I walked through the crowded hallways, looking for my friends so we could go to lunch together. I pushed through the sea of people before making out the face of one of my closest friends, Jace.
Jace and I met in freshman year, in drama class. He was playing a villager while I was playing a merchant. We bonded over the fact we both wanted to have leading roles and that we were envious of the people playing the leading roles, Gloria and Dustin, which leads into the story of how the four of us became friends. Thats a story for another day, though.
"Jace! Did your bring the bread? You know I need my bread rolls to complete this lunch." I said, motioning to the lunch bag in his hand.
"Only for you." He said.
I smiled ear to ear. "Where are Gloria and Dustin?" I asked, getting a shrug in return.
I groaned slightly and followed him to the lunchroom.

As soon as we walked in, I was hit with the scent of pizza. I made my way to the line as Jace sat down at our usual table, waiting for the others.
The line slowly moved forward and people joined in. I noticed that only 3 people away from me was only the most beautiful person in the world. James Holt.
My heart melted just thinking about him. His gorgeous brown eyes and hair, his intelligence, his tough but sweet personality, his body. He's the only guy on my mind when I think about ANY opportunity to ask someone out. The only issue is, he basically rejects the idea of love. It makes me sad because all I want is for him to DATE ME-
I quickly snapped out of my daze as I noticed the line moving at a faster pace. I hurried along, turning my head away from the gorgeous man behind me.
