The story begins with the beginning. Ancient scholars were studying when their combined knowledge was put together and by observing the signs determined that a great evil was coming and this knowledge was pasted down from generation to generation the signs were once again reappearing.
"I had always known that I was different from everyone else, always has"a feeling our young hero Robin of Oceacant a fishing village his parents had moved him to for he descends from a long line of fishermen, his grandfather was a fishermen, his great grandfather was a fishermen and so it goes. He had never really mind it because he had got the chance to be close to the ocean, the place he had felt most at home despite his lively lifestyle on belonging and disowning like he was from a different planet. Oceacant was one of the fishing villages on and along the coast and one of the main suppliers of fish in and around the area,it had little homes and cottages where the people resided and was literally like a fish market, the smell of fish was everywhere and gossiping and and making deals went on and on. Most of the men,in fact all the men were fishermen, the only males that didn't fish were under the age of five, even some women fished. Robin fished with his dad but it never felt right. His father always said that he was so close to the ocean but not willing to take part in it. Robin loved the ocean but couldn't explain why he felt that he should be apart from it and that the only reason to be part of it was to fish,he hated this that what he loves was tied to what he hates,he was so confused about it all.
TY of Greenwood is your typical version of what you describe as a drifter but with high skill in fighting style which is very uncommon for someone of Greenwood a peaceful and tranquil land of forest and trees, he was seen as a freak of some sorts for being different. He was doing what he always did,he would sit and meditate is the peace of the forest, strange, what puts him at ease was causes his grief. He was then interrupted, another dispute between the people of Greenwood and Amberwrd,he rolled his eyes over it all as he got up now not able to concentrate.
In Wessex the ancient scholar,Professor Aidenlar, was in his study after a private lesson with his most promising student who we will later discover a more uniqueness to his character.
Back in Oceacant it was now nightfall when in a dream like state, Robin unconsciously lost in his dreams was visited by this mysterious figure who addressed him and showed him what was coming. The dream state was vivid and saturated but Robin could tell the colours vaguely reminded him of this one time which he flashed back to when he was young whelp when on a fishing trip with his father on his boat and wandered off being bored of just watching his father fish and started climbing the rocks when a big wave carried him off,he was able to swim buy was under the water for a while and the wave took him quite a distance away from shore when he got stranded on a small rock pool,he pulled his small child body and lied on the rocks,he should have been coughing a lot of water out of his lungs and he should have maybe drowned as well, but his mind was to young to elaborate on the matter to much. He wasn't afraid of the situation he was in he felt free like he was at home, but not exactly, his home was always a mess,it was like the home you had that was special for your heart, the home that kept you safe from all the world's troubles, now he was feeling the exact same way he was now as the saturated colours reminded him of the many colours he saw on that day as he stared at the sky with his juvenile eyes. It was not just blue but all the other elements that contributed to it and the way he felt then was how he was feeling now like he was floating in a pool of flowing water it was peaceful. The strange figure described in bold images as the ocean themed landscape morphed describing a great danger was rising and that he should travel to Wessex at once, that was where all the answers lie, but curiosity and interruptions by Robins part cut things short and he was brought back out from this dream state to be awoken by his father. It was morning now and Robin was interrupted dream came undone,"What the hell is wrong with you boy. You're acting if you're bewitched or something, talking in your sleep and all"said his father. "I must set out for Wessex"he said in a mature and mysterious manner.
" Wessex? Boy your not making any sense"said his father. "Look dad I can't explain this right now, what I need is for you to give your blessings for my travel" Robin asked politely. "Wessex?Wessex? What are you going to do in Wessex? There's nothing there for you, trust me I should know, you incompetent little tadpole" said his father sniggering. Robin was trying to keep his cool out if respect for his father but his father kept taunting him about how he can never do anything right, the fishing, the crawling the whole lifestyle that came with being a resident of Oceacant and if they didn't have a better supporter for Oceacant,it would most definitely be his dad,he mocked him on how he it took him entire year to master fishing, embarrassing for someone in his family and how his head was always in the clouds, that he just snapped, "THAT'S IT! All my life you have discredited me in everything I've ever done. I'm done with all of this and especially with YOU. I am my own person and until you get that through your thick skull, that is if it can penetrate the stench of fish. All you ever do is fish and fish,I'm done with it all so you can go to HELL!" the adrenaline from all that was both taking a weight of his shoulders and he said so much he was out of breath that he was breathing so heavily. Robins father was literally dumbstruck, all his life no one has ever spoken to him with so much disrespect and now his own son was the one to say it. Robin was still to upset to say anymore and when to his room upstairs to pack what he needed for his trip.
Robins father came up after some time, holding the railings of the stairs to support him as he walked up the stairs. "If your hear to change my mind you can forget it" said Robin rudely to his father grabbing a handful of clothes and putting it in a pack. "You stand up to your father once and now you think you can do it all the time" said his father calmly. Robin was still ignoring him as he prepared for his journey. "You can go" said his father. "Look dad I'm not going to... wait what did you say?" Robin asked. "I said you can go, don't make me regret it". " Why?" "I don't know. But what I do know is that what ever it is you want to do your serious. And I guess I always knew you were going to do something like this" "What do you mean?" "Remember that day you were stranded on that rock pool, you must have been more or less 5 or 6,I found you with your back lying flat staring at the sky as the sea water hit your face, and I always wondered how you were able to still be alive after being swept away so far by the waves" continued his father,"But I suggest you don't go now wait some time." The next few days was spent as father son bonding time,it was the closest they had ever been in ever.
Three days past from when Robin still utterly confused about how to go about with his dream but his father's new found support comforted him. It was going to rain down heavy that day that the roads were soon to be flooded. Robin and his dad had never seen eye to eye despite their common interests so said everyone else but their interest in the ocean were two completely different but the distance between them was now much closer since the fight and when he announced of his dream it caused an unexpected rift between them seemed shorter which Robin could never understand like his father had known something about him but wasn't telling him. Robin knew his stubborn father wouldn't give anything up even if you held a dagger to his neck and even family, despite their new found closeness, but there were a few things he knew were certain...he now had his fathers support and he had to find out the connection with his dream, himself, Wessex and this DARK AWAKENING?
Under the cover of night Robin, was ready to leave the only home he had ever known to go to a place he had never been to over something as mediocre as a dream! But his father was now there for him,he never thought of this but without his father he would have never been able to do this. They said their goodbye's as Robin prepared for his journey when his father stopped him and gave him a big hug,it was probably the first time Robin had seen him be so sensitive, then handed him a fishing pole, "Dad,your lucky fishing pole. I can't take this" "Take it boy. After all your still a fishermen and take this too" his father said with not even and argument or even one in his head thought Robin and he handed to him the Oceacant emblem, it was carved in blue paint of a raging wave with the saying 'The Ocean and its predecessors will guide you',he also looked at the fishing pole, this was his father's lucky fishing pole, he caught his first fish with that same pole,it was strong sturdy pole made of the finest wood from Greenwood for flexibility and and strength, it had to be since the first fish was a king tuna.
On his travels he carried his traveling pack with the basic supply of travelling food,a map, memorabilia, his father's fishing pole, after all, his still a fishermen. It was now raining but he didn't care he was fine but he still had to care for his pack and he started to look for a shortcut on his map and found an opening through a barren and with the rain little pools formed as he crossed he felt the great presence of danger which he chalked it of as the barrens. The barrens were dangerous at normal circumstances but he was there at night when it was raining, anyone with sense with say he was a madman with a death wish, but he didn't care,he knew deep in his gut that it was something to be concerned with and his never been one to worry with, but a growing shadow lurked behind him.
As the dark shadow lurked closely behind him he discovered he wasn't alone and was then attacked by a menacing figure that seemed to be made of shadows bit despite this it was putting up quite a fight and tossed him back and front and could mimic a blade that cut through rock with a clean cut perfectly and Robin would have suffered a the same fate if he hadn't ducked. All he had was the fishing pole to defend himself with but it was knocked out of his hands and also if it wasn't for the rock pool with a moderate amount of collected rain water when his hand fell in all bruised and had felt he had lost as it stayed him down and when the Shadow Figure swung forward with it's blade when he reacted with his hand moving forward to protect himself covering his face and just like that he just moved it with his mind the water and sliced straight through the shadow figure, the water was risen and levitated and went straight threw it. Robin had his eyes closed hoping that none of this was happening when he opened it. It was the Shadow Figure split in half with water on the ground as the Shadow split from existence,"What in Gods name?"asked Robin looking at his hands. Then all of a sudden he looked up to see that it was still raining but not around him, and that he could raise the water with his hand not holding it but with his mind as he lifted the water from the rock pool.
