ChaPtEr 2- SwEaR I WoN'T FoRgEt

I'm a wolf now. Trotting through the woods, following Jacks scent. I can tell he ran for his life. His scent went in zigzags and left to right. Whenever his scent clashed with the scent of a Vultori, I could tell he tried to fight and stand up for himself. This was exhausting.

I decided to take a left and head over to my friend Emilys' house. Of course, she was like me. Her fur is a beautiful ombré and she has a great amount of stamina. I knew she would understand. I trotted up to her window but was surprised when she came around the corner. She had blood on her mouth and I just thought she had gone hunting.

"Hi Kiara" she said. "How are you? Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Actually, yes. The Vultori has taken Jack. Mom said he was taken in for treason. This could mean his death. So I'm on a mission to find him" I explained. She gasped and ran towards me, tears brimming in her eyes.

"And are we gonna try and find Calum?" She whimpered.

I nodded and bowed my head. I soon felt her nudge me and assured me everything is going to be ok. I shook my fur as we slowly walked back into the woods.

That's when Ashton arrived. His golden brown fur shone brightly in the sun as he walked towards us. I came to greet him as he said "I'm so sorry about Jack. I know you're going after him. You're mom told me. I'm coming" he barked. I nudged his shoulder as he put his head on mine and flattened his ears.

"We're also getting Calum back. No matter what" Emily insisted.

I moved back a little from Ashton as he nodded. We walked in silence for most of the trip, although I had no idea where we were going. Emily says she knows the way until we get to Sioux Falls after leaving Watertown. The Volturi lived in Phoenix, Arizona. This would be too long to walk, so we are stopping at Ashton's brothers house in Nebraska. There we would hopefully get a plane ticket, money, food, etc.

......... 3 hrs. later ..........

We had stopped by a diner for lunch and went out the bathroom since we had no money. I know it's VERY wrong (don't you EVER do it) but we were hungry, broke, and desperate. Since we have no money, we were staying in our wolf form and toughing it out the cold in the woods. This is how we would stay until we were at Ashton's brothers house. So, we are still in Sioux Falls and it's been 5 hours since I left. Since we left. Since I threw my life away and acted like I hated my mother.

But I'm not even sure if I'm sorry....
