The day had just risen, the sun was already beginning to radiate high and widely in the azure sky. This summer morning already promised to be warm and peaceful, the birds took advantage of the morning dew to refresh themselves in anticipation of the arrival of a burning afternoon under the piercing song of the cicadas.  The imperial palace, meanwhile, had already awakened for a long time.

Waking up early today, Lu Cang got up quickly because his body was light. He had obviously rested well that night, a rare thing because of the behavior of this damn Jing! Indeed, the Emperor Jing Zong had not tired his lover too much compared to the accustomed.

That's why he had a very bad feeling, which usually fell, always right when it came to Jing. Knowing him, he must surely have prepared something that would require him to stay in bed soon. While he made his way to the open window, which let the melodious hums of the birds and a little fresh air enter the room, he began to think deeply about this problem.

  Yes.. it would be a trap that will only amuse this pervert emperor! He dreaded the unknown danger that had been waiting for him since his awakening but he could only wait to see his lover arrive. 

Suddenly he hears knocking on the door, it could not be Jing, who was busy with his morning work and obviously, he will never knock on the door to warn him, he would rather surprise him. While thinking about this, Lu Cang forgot to respond to the slight repeated assaults on the door that kept going. Fortunately, he quickly returned to reality and allowed the person to enter; it was Xiao Gui Zi, as every morning he came to help him in his daily needs, by bringing clean linen and his breakfast.

 Being allowed to enter, Xiao Gui Zi opened the door and advanced a few steps towards the private room shared by the Emperor and his lover, then he put clean clothes on a table and announced that the food and bath were ready.

"Sir, his Majesty is holding a banquet at the imperial garden tonight." Until now, nothing was out of the ordinary, when suddenly, Xiao Gui Zi informed him that the Emperor had invited him to a banquet to have dinner with him.

"What is it again this time?" Lu Cang was extremely annoyed while he washed his face with the warm water he brought. Moreover, to be able to attend, he apparently had to wear the luxuriously embroidered garment with a sublime gold phoenix motif that xiao Gui Zi held in his hands.

Lu Cang wondered: is this the danger that awaited him? No, his instinct told him that there was still something hidden behind this ridiculous masquerade.

 "An another sleepless night...." 

After a banquet, Jing would drain him of his life force again. Clenching his fists, he decided that he would not lower his guard easily, even if in the end, he knows that he will have to yield to it, being unable to resist the irresistible charm of his lover to celestial beauty.

But his pride prevented him, for the time being, from succumbing too quickly to the spontaneous and carefree desires of this selfish man to whom he was in love. In addition, he hated terribly those banquets filled with courtiers who hated and jealoused him to the marrow. After all, for them, Lu Cang was just a male pet of the emperor.
