White Lies

Author's note:this is my first time writing a fanfic, so sorry if it's terrible😅Also, just pretend, for the sake of this book that moon hadn't picked Qibli in the epilog of the 10th book.

Winter's POV

Winter walked into the room and immediately saw his lovely wife, the love of his life, this one he would die for, Moon. He dropped his bag and went over and embraced her. He didn't even notice her hesitation." Welcome home" Moon said as she pulled away from his hug and smiled that beautiful smile she had, her silver teardrop hypnotizing him. Winter couldn't resist. He wrapped his talons around her head and kissed her. This time Moon hesitated even more, to where Winter could tell something was wrong. "What's wrong, my beautiful Moon?" He questioned her. "U-u-u uh nothing" Moon stammered. "I don't believe you, something is wrong,I can tell, what is it, you can trust me Moon," he whispered, caressing her cheek affectionately." Well, it's just that I miss all our friends and Jade Mountain Academy , and my mom and I feel lonely out here with no one else, at the border of the Icewing Kingdom." Moon blurted. What, she agreed to stay out here with me! Winter thought irritably. But he couldn't stay mad at his little Moon, not for long, at least. She just needs a bit of fun "What do you want to do then"Winter asked Moon warmly. "Well.....

Moon's POV

She couldn't tell him. She had to hide it, even though she didn't want to. She wanted to be honest, she wanted to be truthful. She was just afraid that Winter wouldn't like the truth, he wouldn't like it one bit. "Well..I want to travel to the rainforest to visit my mom," Moon decided on. "Oh, ok I'll be ready to go whenever you are," Winter responded, smiling at her a toothy grin, with teeth as white as snow and as sharp as daggers. Oh no, this was what she had been trying to avoid. Her past self was sure that Winter wouldn't want to come along because of his last encounter of the rainforest. But, her past self was wrong and now she would have to make up a white lie, this, was going to be difficult, but she still wouldnt tell him the truth, not yet at least. "I want to see my mom myself, yah, you know, and you hate the jungle, so what would be the point of coming?" Moon said, hoping her half accurate lie would prevent Winter from coming. "But, I want to go every where you go, but fine" He mumbled.Yes, it had worked, she could now ask her friend Kink and her mom for advice for how to- her thoughts were cut off by Winter pecking his lips against hers (do dragons even have lips?I don't know anymore) he pulled away and said" And you promise me that you will stay safe and come back soon?" Winter inquired ensuringly. "Of course" Moon promised and with that, she opened the front door and soared out to the direction of the tunnel in the Kindom of sand.
