Island of Misfits

Chapter 1

   It's finally time, I'm sorry brother. I can't stand this any longer. I hope you are happy with the rest of your life. Our parents.... They're awful. And I lost hope but, I know you are strong. You can live without me. For I am nothing in this life, I have no future. I love you.

   Mina went down stairs quickly and quietly, holding her breath as if it made it quieter for no one to hear. She was leaving this hellhole finally. She had stole money from her step mother's account so, she believed she was set for the world. She went back to her room quietly to get her bags that were filled with food and clothes. "Finally, I'll be happy." She smiled to herself.  She looked out her window to see the midnight sky and her eyes blossomed in the moon.

She turned around for a moment and noticed a unnatural sound coming behind her, her window shattered. She turned around and found her self on the floor with a rushing pain on her face. A person in black was above her. Mina was afraid and in confusion. "Belina you weren't supposed to hit her." A man in a suit came in behind the person in black and pushed them away. "I'm so sorry Mina, that wasn't supposed to happen."

Mina scooted back in fear. These people just broke in the house and punched her. Do they expect her to say 'Its fine.'? She stood up and took the metal bat that was in the corner of her room and pointed it at them. "Who the hell are you?" She said trying to be scary. The man put her hands up, " We're not her to hurt you!" He said in defense. "Why are you here?" She said ready to hit him. "We're here to save you!" He said trying to make her not hit him. "Save me? From what-" "Sir we have 19 minuets." The person in black said to the man in the suit. The person in black had a soft girly voice. Mina's head was rushing through every thought.

   'Should I hit them? Should I run? Should I wake up mom and dad? No they'll kill me for waking them up. What do I do?'  She was ready to hit. "Ah! I ugh- listen, this is creepy but we've been watching you for a few months and we know you are hurting. Please, come with us! We are safe people that just want your pain to stop!" He looked at Mina with a serious stare. " Well..." she though about it for a little. She doesn't really have anywhere to go after she left the house anyway. She put the bat down and sighed. "I don't really have anything loose anyway." She dropped the bat and put her hand out, " Well somehow you already know my name, and you are?" He took her hand and shook it. " I'm Joseph Kinar. Leader of  The Island of Misfits." He let go of her hand.

  " Island of Misfits?" She crossed her arms and sat on her bed. " Ugh we'll have to tell you later. Well have to go. Belina how much time?" He turned to the girl and waited for her response. "We only have 9 minuets." He flinched "Really! Dang time runs fast. Alright then, Mina get your stuff and take my arm." She was about to question him but then she remembered the time they had left. She put her backpacks on and put the money in her pocket. Mina took his arm and Joseph walked to the broken window and jumped out. "Woah- WAIT WHAT!" Mina screamed at the top of her lungs and then everything went black.
