Jealousy

Chapter 1

So this is my first story so hopefully you like it

Background
*Takes place when the girls are in high school
*A is still around

Spencer's POV:
*night time*
I am sitting in the car with Toby after being at the brew with the girls and their significant others. I look at him and wonder how I got so lucky. *Ding* I look at my phone

Since you didn't do what I told you, to break up with Toby, I guess I will just have to do it for you. -A

Omg what A going to do, I have to keep Toby safe but how. As I'm thinking this I see car lights coming towards us and I yell "Toby!" before everything goes black.

Toby's POV:
As I was driving Spencer home I saw car lights which I didn't think of at first because this is a two-way road. But then I see the car IN THE WRONG LANE. Spencer yells "Toby!" And I without even thinking cover her with my arms to protect her before the car hits. The car then swerves more to the left on Spencers side. Then it goes black.

I wake up. Then I remember what happened and I look over, Spencer is covered in cuts and blood. " No no no No!" I say.

I brush off the glass and I get out of the car and rush over to her, avoiding my minor injuries. I unbuckle her seat belt and carry her out of the car gently, laying her down in the grass.

I look around and the car that hit us is not here. I get my phone from my pocket and call 911 " Um a car just hit me and my girlfriend and I need an ambulance now" I say. "Ok sir can you tell me where you are" the lady on the phone says. I tell her where we are then hang up.

I look down at Spencer and start crying, how could this happen. It's my fault, I couldn't protect the most important thing in my life.

I just sit there and hug her lightly keeping her close to me, and I stroke her dark brown hair.

Minutes later the ambulance arrives and they put Spencer on a stretcher , I hop in the back. Someone is asking me questions about my injuries but I completely ignore them. Every thing is a huge blur.

We eventually get there and I try to follow but I am stopped by a nurse that is telling me to come with them because I look banged up . I try to go past but they are blocking me. The nurse calls a another nurse and they both grab arms, but I keep fighting with tears streaming down my face. I see the stretcher go into the Er. Then everything gets even more blurry before I pass out.

I wake up and at first I don't remember where I am or what happened. Then it hits me like a bus and I remember, and all I could think about is Spencer and if she is okay. I am about to start pulling the wires out of me before a nurse walks in.

" Can I leave" I say. " No not yet" " why do I have all these wires in me, and why can't I leave?" " We had to give you stitches on your forehead, you fainted, you have many cuts and bruises, and you lost some blood, does that answer your question?" The nurse says" " Yea but when can I leave how is Spencer is she okay" " You mean Spencer Hastings?" " Yes how is she?" " Well the surgery went well, it did go longer than expected because we lost her for a few seconds but the doctors were able to revive her because she's a fighter, she has a broken leg, a bandage on her chest because a piece of glass stabbed her, stitches on her forehead, cuts and bruises, and she lost a lot of blood. As for when you can see her you can see her when we run tests to make sure your okay to leave." " I AM okay, I need to see her my injuries are nothing compared to hers" " Ok I will see what I can do" and with that she left.

As she left Emily came in and I was happy to see a familiar face. She told me how Spencer's parents called her and the girls, and that the others were with Spencer. The same nurse walked in with the doctor and the doctor explained " So we will just do the tests now and if something comes up and we need you we will just come and get you because I guess you want to stay here with your girlfriend, who will be here for about 2 weeks or more, if we don't say anything you can leave in 2 days but I'm guessing that you will want to stay" " Thank you so much" " No problem the tests shouldn't take more than a hour." Emily while she was leaving the room said " Ok bye Toby." " Bye Em."

Exactly 47 minutes later I was free to go. I saw Hanna, Em, Aria, Allison, Caleb, and Ezra in the waiting room. I walk up to them and once they see me they all stand up and give me a big hug. Hanna says " Spencer's parents left a while ago and she is now sleeping, you should go in there she couldn't stop talking about you and asking if you were okay." " What room is she in ?" "214" " Ok thanks" " Ya no problem"

I walked down the hallway and into Spencer's room. I opened the door and when I saw her my heart dropped. She looked so torn up but in the same way she was still gorgeous even in a hospital gown. I sat in the chair next to her starring at her. But I am interrupted by a police man at the door asking " Toby the doctors said I might find you in here, could you step out for a minute and answer some questions?" "Sure" I said but on the inside I really didn't want to.

The cop begins "So we have surveillance footage of the accident and it appears that the driver was driving on the wrong side of the road is that correct" "Yes" " Did you see anything particular about the driver like male or female, height, race, anything" " No I didn't even see the driver." "Not saying that it was intentional but do you know of anyone who would want to deliberately hurt you or your girlfriend." " No I don't think so ,I haven't even thought about it." I lied if someone did do this intentionally it was probably A, but why would A want to do this, I couldn't tell the police though, if I did too many things would be exposed. " Ok thank you for your time. " " No problem."

I walked in and sat where I was, what IF A did this to her. I hold Spencer's hand and admire her beauty, I then hold my head with my other hand starring at the ground processing.

Spencer's POV:
I wake up feeling a hand on my hand knowing exactly who it was. I open my eyes and see Toby sitting there holding his head starring at the ground.

"T... Toby" I say, his head immediately shoots up and he looks at me, he looks tired I can see it in his eyes. He smiles at me and I smile back , then without even thinking we immediately kissed he put his hands on my waist and I put my hands behind his neck, I broke The kiss then I hugged him and he hugged me back, then he said " I'm so sorry Spence" I let go and look at him my arms still wrapped around his neck. " Why are you sorry, it wasn't your fault I think it was A." "WHAT!... Wait how do you know, did you see her/him?" " Could you get everyone in here I don't want to explain this more than once" " Yea sure thing I will be right back" But before he left I kissed him again.

Toby walked in with everyone and he told them on the way what was going on, once everyone was situated I started " A few weeks ago A threatened me saying if I didn't break up with Toby bad things were going to happen to me, So one week ago I was going to break up with you Toby." After I said that I looked up at Toby and he seemed like he was going to cry " It wasn't like last time though, last time I had to break up with Toby to protect him but this time I had to protect me" Toby than said " I would have protected you." " I know but I was scared, anyway when I was going to break up with you I couldn't bring myself to do it so I didn't, whatever A was going to do wouldn't be as bad as not being with you. So I didn't , then before the crash I got a text and it said: Since you didn't do what I told you, to break up with Toby, I guess I will just have to do it for you. -A." I showed them my phone that was on the counter that one of the nurses grabbed when I was in surgery. As they were reading it I got another text saying:

Next time you won't be so lucky -A
