Girlfriend love

Just Friends.

Nicole and Maria are walking home about to start summer break when a police officer stops them dead in their tracks.
"And what do you think your doing girls" the officer says.
"Uuuuuuuummmmmmmm" we look at each other and back at the officer like 5 times and then finally
" We are um walking home." I say "Sir" Maria adds just to be safe because let's be honest no one and I mean no one wants to spend their summer picking up garbage off the side of the high way because your to young to go to jail.
"Well can you read?" The officer says with an audited.
"Um y-y-yes s-s-sir." Maria stutterers( she does that when shes scared or nervous and in this case she as well as me are nervous and scared)
"Well then you should know that the sign about 1/4 of a mile back said?" The officer poused thinking we were to answer but nothing came out of our mouths.
"It said no trespassing, and what are you two doing????"
"Oh um we are so so sooo sorry we didn't know, this is the way we alwaysv walk home the sign was never there." I explained to him
"Do you girls know any other way home?" He asks with a much nicer voice like he really cared.
"No sir." Maria says before I do.
"Well you continue your walk home with these passes ok." He hands us each a pass that says something but there is to much dust and dirt to read it.
