The cold hair is suffocating, pushing my hair away from my face. the tears that i've been holding in for minutes, hours, months, and years on end release. I climb up the old structure to the top. shivers sent down my spine in awe looking at the view before my eyes. it's weird to think a world so beautiful can be so evil. the cold air is now hitting one side of my face due to the way the wind is blowing. light sobs leave my mouth. i hear nothing except the fainted amount of birds chirping. i sit back in the seat and lay on my side. the sun sets before my eyes which is absolutely stunning. i tighten the scarf around my neck and close my eyes.
3:45 am ~
I wake up to the sun now rising, which is almost as beautiful as the sunset. i look down to my phone and see one call from Ryan, my boyfriend. He is the only good thing in my life, the only person I trust. I've known him since we were in 5th grade and we were instantly friends.
"meet me at the park, xoxo" i simply text him. seeing him will make all the pain away, it always does. then i notice the time and immediately feel bad. he shouldn't be up. "ok babe cya!" i smile slightly to myself and then make my way down the ferris wheel. i set aside the fact he responded within 10 minutes and it's nearly 4 am. i reach the bottom and walk down the beautiful hollywood hills.
i reach the park and go to the bench we always meet at. i see a red hoodie sitting there clearly used before. i look around to see if there could be anyone who left it and not one sign of a person being here was shown. i sigh and leave it as it was and sit next to it. it smells like cologne which in my opinion smells amazing. "there's my girl." ryan say kissing my forehead. i giggle and hug him. "hey!" i say while he sits down. "why are you up Aria?" he says looking into my eyes with a concerned look set upon his face. "i couldn't sleep." i lie, i don't like people knowing about the ferris wheel that's my place and my place only. "okay..." he smiles but i can tell he is still worried. "why are you up?" i ask him raising my eyebrow. "i was working late and then went over to chris's." he says acting as if that isn't a big deal. which is really isn't but it's weird if you go there at 2 in the morning. i just smile and look out at the beach the was like a mile away. "i gotta go i'm drained. do you wanna come over?" he asked standing up and putting his bag over his shoulder. "i think i'll just stay here. i've gotta head home anyway." i say smiling yet lying strait to his face. "ok be safe aria. i mean it" i nod and he walks away and drives away in his car. i take out my note book and start drawing. i see a drawing i haven't finished drawing. i grab a sharpie to start finishing the outline. i squirrel runs in front of me causing my arm to flinch and drop the marker on the red hoodie. i look at the hoodie and a small yet noticeable back dot right where the heart would be if you were to wear it. "oh no, no, no" i say trying to rub off the maker. i sigh and give up. i walk back to the library and go all the way to the back where no one usually went to. i grabbed a book out of my bag and opened it to the page i was last reading. i fall into a thought that even i was shocked about "what a weird place for a marker to land."
