the definition of love is (noun) an intense feeling of deep affection or (verb) to feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone.
that's why when we have a crush on someone we like them. we don't feel the need to spend the rest of our lives with them. we don't "love" them.
one thing i need to say is, love is never bad.
love, whether it is with the same sex or different, will be great.
you may be saying, "well people who love each other get married, but then get divorced cause they hate each other." well yeah, that means they either; never loved each other, rushed into marriage, or their love faded with age. people do feel if they love someone they have to marry them. i think marriage is kinda stupid. it basically chains you to a person and you have no freedom. when you are dating someone you have more freedom and can take a break from the person. you can always get back together with them without documents and ceremonies. i get it, "people who truly love each should get married" is something we are taught. we are taught that we should marry and have kids to continue our legacy.
we are taught, espically people raised in catholic faith *cough* me *cough*, that are purpose is to procreate. so if you are a female you have to love a male and if you are a male you have to love a female. that's bullshit. you can love whoever you want. love is never bad. if you truly love someone then what's stopping you? god? your parents? your beliefs? if it's god then i want to stop you there. doesn't god just want you to be happy and love your neighbor? (yes). do you think he/she will hate you? i really don't think that. i don't beleive many things that the catholic church teaches. yes i'm still catholic, but i believe in my own beliefs, like LOVE IS EQUAL. yeah i'm a bisexual catholic who goes to church and has a super religious and homophobic family. do i let that stop me? no.
