Keep Fighting ~ Hogwarts [Alternative]

Katelin's leaning down to make sure I'm okay.

Someone shouts "AVARDA KEDAVRA."

Cho's falling to the ground with us.

Cho is dead.

Everything is black.

I open my eyes again as I snap out of it, breathing heavily from the memory. The curtain moves and I see three of my best friends come through. They don't notice I'm awake at first, at least not until the boy sits and takes my hand.

"I truly wish you would wake up," he whispers and hides his face. The other two have their backs turned and I smirk a little. "I truly wish you'd look up," I whispered and his head snapped up, as did the other two in the room.

"You're awake! My bookworm came back to me," he whispered and hugged me, which was quite awkward considering I was still propped up in bed and he was in a chair. "Of course I did, Lion," I reply, moving away to greet the others. "Mione!" I yell, but it came out rather quiet because I'm kinda hoarse. "Morgan!" She whisper shouts in response, coming forward to hug me as well. "I'm glad you're okay," she tells me and I nod. "I'm quite glad to see you guys are alright as well," I reply with a laugh.

My blonde friend from the beginning of my adventures at Hogwarts came forward next and hugged me as well. "Luna!" I exclaim and hug her as well. "How're you holding up?" I ask as I know how close she and Cho were. Luna and I are closer, but she was still very close to Cho. "I'm good," she says and pulls away with a sad smile. "At least she isn't suffering anymore," she says, referring to her state of mind after she lost Cedric.

"That's very true," I reply and smile sadly. "How's Katelin?" I ask Fred and he smiles a little. "She woke up yesterday," he told me and I grin. "That's great! Is she on the other side of the curtain?" I ask and he nods, standing and going to the other side. "She's awake, do you want me to slide the curtain back?" I heard him ask.

Someone must've nodded because he moved the curtain and I was able to see my best friend for the first time since the accident. "Hi," I say brightly and she laughs and rolls her eyes. "Hi."

I laugh and turn my head when the door opens. "Mum! Dad!" I shout and they rush over immediately, hugging me and making sure I was ok. "I'm fine," I tell them, laughing a little at how overprotective they are. My mother was holding my hand with one hand and using the other to wipe back tears whilst my father simply sat and brushed the hair out of my face. A sudden thought strikes me and I'm sick.

"Dad, is the war over?" I asked like a broken child. He nods and takes my other hand. "Yes and it's all thanks to you students and the staff. In fact, if it weren't for half of you sacrificing yourselves to fight, I can guarantee that You-Know-Who wouldn't be dead right now. For real this time," he says and squeezes my hand.

"Are Uncle Remus and Auntie Dora alright?" I ask as I vaguely remembered hearing that they'd been hurt. My mother nodded, saying, "They're at home right now with baby Teddy and wondering the same about you and Katelin." I smile tiredly and turn back to my dad's smiling face. "Dad, are you alright?" I ask and he nods as a few people leave the room. "Yeah. It's just the fact that all of you grew up so much faster than you should've. And Harry, he died but came back," he says and shakes his head. "Aw, it'll be ok- wait WHAT?!"

He laughs and says, "He's fine now. But I'll leave you and your friends alone."

"No, Dad! Come back!" I shout and he smirks as he takes mum's hand. "We'll see you when you come home," he says and they leave. I look to where Fred was leaning against the wall. "You gonna come sit down or what?" I tease and he rolls his eyes with a smirk and came to sit next to me again. I smiled at him and he returned it, taking my hand and kissing it. "I'll be right back," he says and I whine when he gets up to leave.
