Keep Fighting ~ Hogwarts [Alternative]

Start from the beginning

He nods, grimacing. "Katelin and Morgan are hanging on, barely, but they're alive. Poor Cho wasn't so lucky," he sighs and shakes his head. "You and Draco should head back to the castle. You need to be there for Fred and Draco needs to know about Katelin," he says, stopping me when I go to protest. "Ginny, please," he says and struggles to hide his emotions. "I can't lose anyone else today, or even come close to it. Take Malfoy and run. Please."

I nod and head over to Draco. "Be careful, Ron," I tell him and he nods, hugging me gratefully. "Draco!" I shout as I stun his opponent. "We have to go. Come on," I say and grab his arm, pulling him behind me and ignoring his questions.

"What are you doing, Weasley, stop it!" He shouts, stopping short of the Great Hall. "If you'll stop stopping, I'll show you," I say and drag him into the Great Hall.

I quickly find them, but I don't see my family near them. Ok so Fred doesn't know yet. Good. "Is that..." Draco trails off, a horrified look in his face. "Unfortunately yes," I tell him and he sprints to them. "Great," I mutter and walk over to where my family is. Fred turns when he hears me and his face lights up. "Is it finished?" He asked hopefully, trying to see past me to find Morgan.

"Not yet," I tell him and the hopeful expression drops. "So if you're in here, did Morgan send you back or something?" He asks and I bite my lip. "Not exactly," I reply and he stands quickly.

"What's wrong?" He asks, his eyes darting around the room as he tried to understand. "Fred," I say quietly and take his hand. "I have to show you something," I say simply and lead him towards her.

I know the exact moment he seen them, for he made a terrible strangled sound. "No," he whispers and runs to them. He's on the ground next to Morgan in an instant, nearly in tears as he takes in the disheveled state of her hair, the dirt on her face and clothes, and the paleness of her skin. He laughed weakly and fixed her glasses, which had broken sometime during the fight.

I turned away from my brother and went to Draco. "Are you ok?" I ask, knowing it was a stupid question. "Oh yeah just peachy, my girlfriend's dead because of someone my dad's involved with, just great," he snaps and I frown.

"Don't get smart with me Malfoy, they're both my best friends," I say and he sighs. "I'm sorry," he finally mutters and I shrug. "You know they were only sideswiped by the curse, right?" I tell both of the boys.

They both looked up in confusion. "What?" They ask in unison, glancing at each other as they did and shaking their heads. "They're not dead you idiots. They were sideswiped by the Killing Curse because Cho took the brunt of the hit," I explain and they both sink with relief. "So, what's wrong with them now?" Fred asks and I shrug.

"The healer hasn't been by. None of them have, they have too many other cases," I reply and he shakes his head and continues talking to Morgan.

The doors to the hall slam open and I look up to see four familiar faces. Two of them scanned the room in panic, frowning when they landed on two people across the room from us. Mr. and Mrs. Weekes (Michael and Kat) went over to the people they had spotted, smiling in relief when they seen they were fine. The relief soon faded off their faces as they heard Sirius shouting. "No! Not my daughter, no!" He and Jena ran over, their faces pale and horrified.

Fred moved to allow them to be with their daughter. Sirius was absolutely distraught, tearing up a little and brushing some hair from her face. Jena was holding a hand to her mouth and crying as she took her hand.
