Everything is okay once you're okay with everything.

There is so much power to this saying and it can really change you're perspective. Most of the time we become disappointed with a  certain outcome of a situation. Why is this? It may just be because of the expectations we create in our heads. Having expectations about the future is basically pointless and a complete waste of energy. Your expectations are derived from your ego which creates thoughts in your head that you deem to be true. Just because you think a certain way does not mean that it is reality.

What even is reality?

Everyone goes through life and experiences things in their own way; nothing is the same for everyone. Everyone perceives things differently, so their version of reality will be different from yours. How many different versions of reality are there? Is there such thing as a true reality?

Reality seems to be a fundamental concept that was created for people so they won't get lost into oblivion. We can have an idea of what is going on, but that idea can change so quickly. One little action will cause the outcome to alter, and this goes with the saying that everything happens for a reason. While we may be unable to clearly see reality for what it is, we can realize that there are so many things at play that create the events that unfold before us. Let's say, for example, that you're running late to a social event. The reasoning behind this could be because of so many different things, however, this creates the outcome of you showing up to the event late. While you're there you are constantly thinking about the scenarios you've created in your head that would happen once at the event. Instead of finding the person you wanted to find, for example,  you find someone else. Because you were running late, the timing of your night led you to cross paths with the person you met.

There were actions that you took that led to that outcome, but there were also other people actions that were in play. The person you were looking for never crossed your path because of their own reality that they were following. The person that you did meet, seemed to be someone who was meant to cross your path. It seems as if it's such a fortuitous encounter when you meet someone of the like.

Before you are able to allow what is, to be what it is, feelings of doubt and disappointment may arise. Expecting to see the person you wanted to see and realizing it might not happen, expectations will be crushed and it's common for your emotions to follow. Trying to create the future within your head leads to this. Living in the present and being content with any situation that is unfolding is a step towards truly living in the moment. When you become okay with each situation, everything seems to work out. Instead of looking for the next best thing, just enjoy the people you are around at the time, or enjoy breathing in the environment and the experience.

Everything is okay once you're okay with everything.

Not having expectations, going with the flow while truly living rather than blindly existing, realizing that a thought is just a thought and nothing more.

Those are all powerful life lessons that take time to get used to.

Everyday you are put to the test.
Why push the limits with self doubt and unnecessary grieving?
