Chapter 5: Mistakes?

~Liam's POV~

*Before Danielle shows up*

I felt someone move on me, so I rolled over. I felt two warm hands press against my chest. I opened my eyes to see Mercedes smiling up at me. "Good morning." I said.

"Morning." She said with a beautiful morning voice.

"How'd you sleep." I asked.

"Good." She layed her head on my arm.

"That's good." I glanced down at her lips for a second and then back to her eyes. Maybe I should move on from Danielle. Mercedes is beautiful and I can tell she likes me.

"Yeah, I guess it is."

I leaned forward, and she started to close her eyes and lean in too. Then the door slammed open and Louis came in. Me and Mercedes pulled away from each other.

"Did I just ruined something?" Louis said with a smirk.

Mercedes blushed deep red and looked down. I shot daggers at Louis. "No, we were just waking up" I said.

"Whatever you say, Liam." And with that Louis ran out of the room. 

 Mercedes got up and made her way out of the room. I got up after her. After I got out Mercedes' room I saw Danielle at the door.

 "Liam there you are!" She pushes past Mercedes and hugs me.

"Dani?" I asked confused.

"Why haven't you picked up, I've been trying to call you." She told me.

"I just woke up."

"Where'd you sleep?"

"In the bed."

"What?" She stepped back with a horrified expression.

Mercedes walked up and wrapped an arm around my waist, "Yep, he slept with me last night. Got  a problem with it?"

"Yeah I do." Danielle replied with a little bit of anger.

"Well, he isn't yours anymore." Mercedes replied with the same tone.

I backed up, "Alright, calm down girls."

Danielle walks over to me and pecked my lips, "I'll talk to you later." Then she walked past Mercedes and then left.

~Mercedes POV~

"I hate her," Niall said. "I wish she would just leave Liam alone."

"Yeah, she happens to ruin everything." Harry joined in. The boys went at it saying how they didn't like her and how she wasn't right for Liam.

I sat at a chair by the kitchen counter, Liam came up to me and asked, "Hey you ok?"

I looked at the counter and sighed, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"I'm sorry for her. I don't know what's up with her." He apologized.

"It's fine."

"Mercedes look at me please." Liam begged.

I looked at the counter holding back tears. Is it a mistake to love him? I mean he still has Danielle and maybe he didn't want to kiss me.

"Mercedes." He lifted my chin to make me look at him. "Don't worry about her. She means nothing to me anymore."

I looked into his eyes to see if he was lying at all, and I found nothing but truth. "Alright, I believe you."

He smiled, "Good."

"Hey love birds!" Harry yelled, "Wanna go out and do something?"

Liam and I both blushed and turned towards them. "Um, we're not love birds thank you, Harry." I stated in a matter of fact tone.

"Whatever you say." He mumbled quietly but I heard it.

"It is whatever I say! And if you don't believe me Harry, I can prove it to you!"

"How?"

Dang, I was just bluffing. What was I going to do... I could kiss Niall and break my heart. I mean it's not like Liam likes me right? 

"Any day now."

"Har-" Louis tried butting in.

"Because I love Niall." I stated.

"Wait, What?" Liam asked, hurt.

"Yeah, what?" Niall looked so confused.

My heart broke after seeing Liam when he said that, I looked to Louis and he just looked dissapointed and shook his head. "I- I said I..." Tears came to the brime of my eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I just... wasn't thinking right." I looked at Liam, he looked like he was going to cry. I went into my room and shut the door and locked it. I jumped on my bed and put on some music to drown out my little crys.

~Liam's POV~

My heart broke when she said that she loved Niall. I could have swore it was me. She went into her room and put on music. But if you went close enough you could hear some crying.

"Wow," Harry said breaking the silence, "Wasn't expecting that."

I glared at Harry, "Are you serious?"

"What?"

I just shook my head.

"Liam," Louis came over to me. "She doesn't really love Niall." He whispered.

"What?" I asked confused.

"She loves you..."

"She wha-" Now I was really confused. Does she truely love me?

"Yes, she loves you but didn't know how you felt."

I nodded, "Oh."

"Just wanted to let you know."

"Thanks." I walked over to Mercedes' door  and knocked. "Mercedes?"

"What?"

"Can you open the door please?"

I heard the door's lock click and then she opened the door and sat back on her bed, looking down. "What do you want?" She asked.

"This." I walked up to her, lifted her chin up so I could see her eyes and kissed her.
