I was on my way to Zach's house. He had hired me as his math tutor. The radio in my car, played In My Blood by Shawn Mendes, and I was jamming so hard. I got to his house, took my bag and walked up to the door. I checked my phone to see if it was the right address, because I couldn't see him living in such a beautiful house. I rang the doorbell, a guy opened, but it wasn't Zach. He was taller, his eyes were the perfect shade of blue. He smiled "Hi" He said. "Um... Can I help you?"
I stopped myself from staring "Yes, does Zach live here?" He turned around looking for Zach, or I guess it was Zach, who else would it be?
"He does. I'm sorry, come in." He opened the door wider and stepped away, letting me in. He closed the door behind me. "ZACH! You've got girl visit." Zach came running down the stairs. His cheeks were so red, but aren't they always?
"Thanks, Daniel" Zach said sending Daniel an evil look. Daniel, that's a cute name, it suits him. "Oh, yeah Brooklyn this is Daniel, one of my roommates. Daniel this is Jessica, my math tutor." Daniel ran his hand through his soft brown hair, and smiled. He had a gap between his teeth, it was the cutest smile I've seen.
Zach showed me to the living room. "You want something to drink?" Zach asked me.
"Some water is fine" I replied. Zach went to the kitchen, whilst I unpacked my book and papers.
In the kitchen Zach was getting me a bottle of water. Daniel was also in the kitchen, I could hear them talk. "Why did you hire a tutor, the rest of the guys and I could help you" I heard Daniel say.
"I don't want your help
Zach came back to me. He gave me the bottle of water, and sat down on the chair next to me. I put on my glasses. Yes I wear reading glasses. The tutoring session lasted for two and a half hours. I caught Zach staring at me multiple times.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and I looked to see. It was Daniel. He stopped at the bottom, and he looked me right in the eyes, I felt them staring into my soul. He stood there for about ten seconds. He then smiled, and walked towards me and Zach. "You getting smarter?" Daniel said and messed up Zach hair.
"Dude! Not the hair, you know that!" Zach said, he sounded kind of mad. "I'm sorry Jess, I gotta fix this quick" he got up and went to the bathroom. I giggled quiet.
Daniel sat down where Zach was sitting. "This isn't gonna be quick. It's Zach." Daniel said. I laughed to myself.
I took of my glasses, and looked at Daniel. "I should probably go. Tell Zach bye from me." I said nervous. I stood up, and packed my bag.
"Don't leave, Brooklyn." Daniel stood up as well. He was standing close to me. He doesn't want me to leave? I shyly looked at my feet. "Why don't you stay for dinner? I'm sure Zach would love that." Oh, Zach, wants me to stay. I felt the disappointment, like my heart got ripped apart.
"" in the couch and I sat next to him. He turned on the TV. He was scrolling through the channels but then gave up. He put on Netflix. I texted my mom, I told her that I was staying.
"What do you wanna watch? Horror? Rom-Com? Comedy? Sci-fi? Fantasy? I don't care. You pick." He handed me the remote. My best friend, Khiara, recommended a movie yesterday. What was it called? When I met you? No, it's not that. I typed in 'When'. The first movie is 'When We First Met' That's the one!
"Are you ready?" I asked Daniel.
"Just a minute." He walked over to the kitchen, I couldn't see what he was doing, but I heard the cabinet open and close, some plastic wrap, and the microwave. Oh he's making popcorn!
"Popcorn!" Daniel said when he came back. I started the movie, when he sat down. He sat close to me, with the bowl of popcorn on his lap. Zach was still in the bathroom fixing his hair
