William's grumble upon the ship had prompted a working class member to ask him what was wrong. "Who runs the planet as of current?" William asked with a grimace.
"Well, sir, your named successor to your title, Aaron, came with you, so we kinda just went with the first Leader Visoian we could find." The working class member spoke softly.
"Carlos, then. That'll be easy." William chuckled.
"Have you eaten yet, sir?"
"You can just call me William, you know. And ah, no."
"I'll get you food immediately!" The worker dashed off, leaving William in thought.
"Alright, I could just snap the poor guy's neck, but he'll fight back if only a little. He probably still carries that dumb knife around, so I'll let him stab me and then bash his skull into the fucking ground with a swift execution. If he steps down, guess I'll publicly execute him for weakness. I don't tolerate people that don't fight for their position. I mean, I killed my father for this position. Any less is weakness and deserves execution. Wow, my thoughts are extremely intrusive. Maybe I should at least see how he leads before I grind him into dust." William spat, drawing the attention of another working class member who gave him an odd piece of jewelry. William examined it with an abnormal need. It was a necklace with a large gem just tied onto it with a lack of care. William chucked it at the wall and it broke, much less to his surprise. "Worthless garbage, just like the person who handed it to me." William was quickly struck with a tray.
"I have your food, sir."
"Last time I checked, you don't hit someone with the food." William took the tray and started eating swiftly, digging into the food with his hands. "Could give an all-powerful leader some fucking utensils." William licked the bowl, he had missed the Visoian dishes of the working class. They were generally fed better to keep them complacent. William demanded more, and they supplied him. He kept eating to his content. He licked his hands clean, licking into the depths of his cybernetic arm. "So good." William mumbled, being briefly remembered of his time on Earth, in which he grimaced and quickly hid his emotions as another person, a Visionary, walked in. Their purple hair and green eyes gently accented their skinny male body. "What, are you a trap?" William chuckled, and the Visionary mumbled with contempt.
"What's a trap, sir?"
"It's.. an earth term. Take it as an insult."
"Right."
"What's your name?"
"Ronald, sir."
William paused. "What do you have to say, Ronald?"
"I'm just updating you on the amount of time it'll take for us to return to Hetera, sir.."
"How long?" William's voice was laced with a serious twist.
"Two hours, sir."
"Understood. Leave, now."
Ronald exited, and William whispered to one of the other working class members to go execute him, but to be quick about it.
"Too many memories." William grumbled. He heard rummaging through the ship, as it wasn't particularly big, it wasn't his. He went to go explore. He found a man wearing a teal hoodie, scars adorning his body, and chocolate brown spiked hair that contradicted everything about him. He was unconscious, and William had a small query to who he was. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" William grumbled. "Stupid fucking humans." William picked him up and threw him against the wall.
The man's eyes slowly opened. "Hey, it's the alien toaster! Sweet, I did get on the right ship."
"Oh, god. Theras, why the fuck are you here?"
"You looked upset, so I kinda skipped town to check ya out!" Theras grinned, and got greeted with a punch from William's cyborg arm. "Ow, way to be welcoming to a friend."
"You and I are not friends." William spat venomously.
"Denying it ain't cool, alien toaster. I could've been cuddling up to Adonis, or doing far better things with him."
"I would've been fine and dandy with that, you zombie lookin' fuckface."
"You're way less eloquent and more angry than usual. Hey, where's Sve—" Theras was stopped with a strike hard enough to knock him unconscious again.
"Don't ever mention that name to me again." William grabbed some medical equipment, assessed the damage, and slowly fixed a bloody spot on Theras' head with some stitches. "Fucking hell, how are you even gonna live on Hetera? I had plans for Sven, in which I would legitimately edit his DNA to make him unaffected by radiation, but you? You aren't worth that time and effort." William felt tears well up in his organic eye, from the mere feeling he got saying his former lover's name, quickly wiping them away. "Mm, I feel like reminiscing, but not now. He sat with Theras' head in his lap, waiting for Theras to wake up.
It felt like years passing to William, but hardly a minute to Theras. Theras felt something wet hit his forehead and opened his eyes slowly. "William?" Theras mumbled quietly.
William looked down at Theras, a single tear flowing down his face and hitting Theras' face again. "Ah, sorry. Reminiscing always hurts, you know?"
Theras laughed bitterly. "I can see that."
"Why are you here?" William asked.
"I told you. You seemed sad, so I chose to give you some special attention. Are you gonna tell me what happened with you and your lemon boy?"
"In due time, Theras." William's voice was vulnerable.
Theras would've pressed further, but something prevented him from doing so.
"How are you gonna survive on Hetera?" William looked at Theras dead in the eyes as Theras was forced to answer.
"I'm sure the radiation won't bother me a bit. I'm already dead, remember? Maybe I'll grow a cool new arm, though."
"And if it does bother you?"
"Maybe I'll still get the cool mutated arm. Gotta look at the positives, Will."
"You do know that radiation doesn't actually give you those things, right? You'll probably get some organ damage and probably cancer."
"Let a man dream, William."
"My objective is to crush everyone's dreams, like mine were crushed."
"Edgy, man."
"Oh, Jesus fucking Christ of course I'm edgy, do you know the shit I've been through?"
"Mm, nope."
"Saving it for a later time." William got up and walked out, getting greeted by a familiar face. "Evans, pleasure to see you aren't dead."
"It's always a pleasure to see your face, Telhae."
"Don't get flirtatious with me, we have a stowaway."
"Guess they'll just have to tough it out, unless you intend to execute them?"
"Nah, I've always wanted a personal punching bag of my own."
Evans laughed, patting William's back, an exchange William would only accept for old friends. "How do you plan to take Carlos out of power, Telhae?"
"Simple execution."
"Well, guess you'll be doing that pretty soon, since we've arrived."
"Mhm. I'll get the stowaway." William grabbed Theras, and Theras grabbed him back, kissing him.
"I'm not sorry for that, you asked for it."
William's face slowly contorted into anger, punching Theras unconscious again and dragging him out.
Evans laughed, watching the exchange go down. "Wow, William. Can't believe you found a lover on Earth."
"This guy already has a lover, and I'm gonna kill him if he does that again."
Evans just laughed. "Come on, let's get you all suited up for your big entrance."
William followed Evans to a room, in which William exchanged his grey sweater for a soft yellow one, covering it up with his army uniform, and trimming his beard for the occasion. He looked at the broken up piece of metal that was his metal eye, deciding to fix it up and replace it later.
The ship landed, and announcements were put all over the globe, gaining attention of the resistance leader.
"After 20 years, we've found the man, the legend, the all-powerful dictator to rule us all, and he's finally returned home. Everyone, William Sakiya Telhae is finally home and ready to get back to work."
The ship door opened. William carried Theras off the ship, and there were cheers, rumbles of fear and uncertainty, and anger from the ones who supported Carlos' way of ruling. They all missed William, though. Even the young ones, who didn't grow to see William's rule were cheering.
William's voice was rougher and lacked all traces of any accent to a Visoian. "I've returned."
Theras stirred in the wake of cheers.
