It was the end of the summer before my fourth year. I was excited to be going back to Hogwarts. It always felt like home to me.
"Quinn, will you come down here please?" My mother called.
I got off my bed and walked downstairs. She was standing by the couch with a man I had never seen before. He was tall, maybe 6'. He had long dark brown, almost black hair.
"Darling, I would like for you to meet Caspian. He's the man I've been seeing." She said.
"It's nice to meet you sir." I said. He looked me up and down, making me uncomfortable.
"Yes. Very nice indeed son." He said.
"Are you all packed, dear?" Mum asked.
"Yes, ma'am." I replied.
"What year are you in?" Caspian asked.
"I'll be going into my fourth year." I said.
"And what house are you in?" He asked
"Gryffindor." I said.
"Lovely house." He said.
"I think so." I said. This whole conversation seemed awkward and forced.
"Alright Quinn, Caspian and I are going out for dinner. Do you want to go with us or are you alright here?" Mum asked.
"I'll be fine here." I said. I hugged my mother. "It was nice meeting you." I said to Caspian before going back up to my room.
