Maxine's parents are divorced. Her father has a whole other family that she sees every once in a while. Her mother has a boyfriend she's been seeing for 2 years but she hasn't met him yet.
Maxine smokes weed. Her mom lets her because she has all A's and is a good kid.
Since some of my character are black, there will be a frequent use of the 'n' word. Yes, I am also black, Maxine's character is based off of an older version of me.
The whole story will be told from Maxine's P.O.V.
Maxine speaks fluent Spanish so there will also be a lot of spanish 'slang?' and other stuff like that.
