due to my father getting more of a job here i knocked on the door to 666 (the builders didn't care what the doors were named) i told aquas the news and she near tackled me. she was always ecstatic even though she was demon. i was dragged into the apartment. "guys he's staying!" two younger ones looked at me. they seemed to be fighting but stopped when they saw me. "all right you can go but first let me show you a quick exit" she brought me to a bookshelf. she pulled it back and a vent looking tunnel was behind it. "this tunnel runs to all the apartments on this floor. go ahead i'll be behind you." i knelt down to see no light at the end of the tunnel "actually let me go first." she disappeared into the darkness. her voice was close but her silhouette didn't exist. she turned to look at me and two red dots was all i saw. "yes i know my eyes are bright red this is about the time that a normal person would run." "well i guess im not normal then" i replied. the tunnel got so short that it hard to get through. "Katrina got mad here because she kept bumping her head. you can guess what she does" "hurricane demon. bet she's the strongest out of you all." "she's still young, she cant really control much. hey want to see something cool." she put a glow stick that apparently she had the whole time down. "grab my hand" i reached to touch her hand and the glow stick disappeared the tunnel got taller again and aquas's eyes glowed brighter. "look back." as i looked back i saw the glow stick at the other end of the tunnel "we just blinked." the tunnel kept getting taller until we reached my apartment. aquas pushed the bookcase slightly to look out and see if anyone was there. a hand reached in and aquas disappeared. "found you" my little brother said. aquas reappeared and i told my little brother to go count again and he ran down the stairs. aquas brought me back to their apartment. "that tunnel is how we get around during the night because, well you noticed our eyes glow red and we can't be seen. scares some people so bad they go insane" "well i guess i'm not like the rest" "i'm not sure about this but you may be a medium" "what?" i said confused. she looked at me funny "you know what a demon is but you don't know what a medium is. a medium is a person who doesn't go insane like normal people." "that would explain the tan things going across my room." she went to kami and said something to him "aquas you know what we do to the mediums" "no kami we can't" kami got up and shook his head. horns sprouted from his head and his eyes glowed like aquas's. "RUN" aquas screamed and i took off at top speed out the door. I ran to the stairs and went to the first floor. just as I thought i lost him he blinked in front of me. I ran back for the stair door but i was thrown away from it. i looked up to see he hadn't moved. he walked towards me but aquas blinked in front of him and slashed at him. 4 marks appeared on his face. he picked up aquas by the throat and threw her down the hall. she landed with 3 loud thuds then stuck her hand out and kami was engulfed in water. the water was turned to steam in less then 5 seconds he slashed at me and i saw why he got marks. they had claws. i dropped down and as he reached out at me. aquas blinked in front of me. i lost consciousness at the sight of aquas crying over me a blood pentagram around me
