Sorry is just a five letter word

Spelled S-O-R-R-Y

And that 5 letter word is said to "fix everything."

But, I don't get it.

I can say words like shit or damn

And those 4 letter words get me into a lot of trouble

Because they mean "bad."

But how?

How can a word be given a label of weather its good or bad when all it is,

a completely inanimate object.

Yes, Words mean things.

But people need to understand that hurtful words can't be fixed with happy ones.

Its like breaking your grandmas favorite old china plate and attempting to put it back together with bright orange duck tape as If she will never notice.

That what happened to me.

I was hurt, not just one but a countless number of times.

Hurt physically and emotionally.

But all that person who did all that damage to me had to say,
