“Move your car please.” I turned looking at him with my left arm on the top of my car and the other on my car door.

“Good morning to you too.” He continued to eat his yogurt.

“Just move your car.” I got in and started my car, but he didn’t move. He just licked his spoon.

I turned off my car, got out and walked over to him. “I need to get to work.”

“You want some?” He dipped his spoon in the yogurt and held it to my lips. “It’s blue-berry.”

I pushed it away. “No, if I eat it I might get bigger than I already am.” Reminding him of what he said yesterday.

“That’s why I got the Light and Fit.” He pointed to the label.

“Whatever August. Move.”

He laughed, “I’m playing baby.” He got off the hood and tried to hug me.

“No. Move your car. You’re gonna make me late.”

“You not going to work today.” He dusted off the back of his jeans.

“What?”

“I said you not going to work today.” He gave me a straight serious face.

“August I don’t have time for games.”

“You don’t have court on Fridays.”

“No, but I have briefs I need to write.”

“You can do that shit at home. You got sick days left, call in and tell them you sick.”

“I’m not going to ask you again.”

“Or what?” He folded his arms and spit on the ground.

“That’s nasty don’t do that. Give me your keys so I can move your car.”

“Call your job.”

“Why do you not want me to go to work today?”

“Because you spending the day with me.”

“Please. I rather spend an eternity in hell, than spend it with you.”

“I’m not doing this back and forth shit with you. Now I came over here to make shit right. If I leave, I’m not coming back. Believe Dat.”

I could tell he was getting increasingly frustrated, but he can’t expect me to open him with open arms after how he treated me yesterday.

I looked at him contemplating whether or not I should call. He walked to his car and got in.

“Okay. Damn.” I pulled out my phone and called Christina. I told her that I had food poisoning and wouldn’t be able to come in today. Surprisingly, she was fine with it. I think Omari being there to pick up the extra case load, meant she didn’t have to totally depend on me.

August was sitting in his driver side seat leaned back with one foot out the door, watching me as I got my things out of my car. I noticed he was biting on his bottom lip.

“What?”  I asked wondering why he was starring as I walked over to his car.

“You wore that for me?”

“No I wore it for myself.” I made sure he could hear that although I was being cooperative we were not on good terms.

“I’m telling you right now, cut the attitude shit. I’m not dealing with no fucking drama today.”

I put my purse on the hood of his car and walked over to him. “First off, you’re the one that came barging over to my house like nothing happened. Like we’re cool and we not. You didn’t even have the decency to call me yesterday.”
