Year 10 Thousand

~Chapter 1-The beginning and the end~

[Rainbow Crystal Lamp's P.O.V]

    I  walked along a winding path made of gravel, luckily I was wearing boots so it didn't hurt. The path was twisted and going in loops, it made me get vertigo as it made my head hurt. "Holy fuck. How long is this path?" I whined my legs starting to become like jelly... more like they felt like jelly... I looked down and freaked out "HOLY SHIT, MY LEGS!" I screamed wobbling and falling over, my legs had become actual jelly! I felt the ground give way and I fell, a familiar ringing filled my hearing.

   I shot up breathing hard in my bed, my alarm clock was ringing. "T-thats why it sounded to f-familiar." I said trying to calm myself. That dream, or nightmare, had kept popping up in my sleep for the past few days and I had no idea why. Metallic had suggested I go to a therapist like Paint does, but I rejected and said I would wait it out. Maybe I should of listened to him. I sighed and looked at the clock, that had woke me up, then I looked at my calendar. "OH HELL! ITS JANUARY 31st!" I screamed throwing my blanket off off me,jumping from my bed, and then grabbing my backpack. I had to get to school, because I just realized I slept in and only had 8 minutes to get to school. I grabbed my hover bored, my coat, then I ran outside and jumped on my hover bored and started to make my way to school.

    I ran to my locker and shoved my hover bored into it, I slammed the locker closed and I ran to class. I ended up tripping into the class room right as the bell rang, "Close one, missy." My teacher, Ms.Spoon, said to me turning to the board to wright something and start class. I got up and nervously looked around, I saw that a couple of others in my class where snickering at me. I was embarrassed and I wanted to run out of the class room into the bathroom to have a panic attack, but I swallowed it down and walked to my seat almost boldly. I sat down and got out my materials needed for this class. I knew that I just had to get trough this block and a bit of second block then I was free to head to my cooking/baking group then our schools New Years Resolution party. I was part of the Cooking and Baking Club at our school, which we where put in charge of the food that was gonna be there.... wait.... why do I feel so.. drowsy...?

 I gasped as I was dunked into freezing water, my body stared to go numb really quick. I had inhaled the water, I managed to surface for a few seconds and gasp for air. In the sky, which I only saw for a few seconds, was the path I had walked along for so long in my dreams. The cold water dragged me under again and I started to drown as the freezing water entered my lungs again. It all went dark..

My eyes snapped open, I immediately closed them due to the sudden light. I started to slowly open them again. I slowly glanced around and realized it was my room.. and Metallic Marker was in a chair busy playing a game on their phone. "W-what happened..?" I asked sitting up slowly and looking at them "OH! You're awake, finally!" Metallic said back putting their phone away, "You passed out in the beginning of class for an unknown reason, they suspect a panic attack that suddenly appeared, and when they tried to wake you up you didn't. Oh, its also sunset, you missed the party, and whole day!" they said kind annoyed. "so I didn't miss the Ball Drop?" "nope." "Phew good.. I wanna see it!" "Crystal, they don't wan't you to go anywhere tonight..." "Metallic, Is this another joke?" "Afraid' not.." "I-I'm going.." "Fine by me." 

Metallic helped me sneak out of the house to go to the Ball drop. Once we hit the roads we joined paint who had brung sparklers. He gave two to me and one to Metallic who pouted like a child. We chatted away as the night grew, we started to play tag as we ran to the Ball drop. After a long while we made it.. "It's 10:58" Paint said pointing up at the digital clock on the building with the ball. "So about an hour?" I asked "Yeap!" Metallic said walking off to find the food. "I'm gonna explore myself." Paint said running off leaving me alone for the next hour to come.

I looked at the clock and realized.. "One minute till midnight!" I screamed lighting my sparklers and holding them high. The colorful ball started to drop, the crowd cheered and clapped. 30 seconds, the colorful ball was halfway.. 20... 10... "9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2..! 1...!?" I was shocked as a sudden wave pushed me back and day and night rapidly switched time seemingly froze and broke as I was thrown back... It all went dark.
