The streets were empty. The only light came from the bight moon accompanied by all the stars. Rose walked the quiet empty streets. Her feet leading her towards the park where Jackson was patiently sitting on a bench waiting for her. Her face came into view and his heart pounded in his chest. He stood up from the bench and ran towards her. Engulfing her in his arms.

"Rose." He said breathless still engulfing her. The clock was ticking for the 2 lovers. Right now it was 8:00 pm and she left for her flight at 5:00 a.m leaving her 8 hours. The clock starts now.

~8:00 pm~

He soon let her go and grabbed her hand. The first stop was the big lake in the park. The place where they first met starting all this. The moonlight glistened on the water giving the couple a light. Jackson looked back at her and held his out to her. She graciously took it. They stood on the edge and Jackson counted down.

"3" He said

"2" She replied

"1" They both said at the same time. Both jumping and feeling the chilly water soon meet there's.

~10:30 pm~

They both sat in a booth at Mrs.Lynoir Cafe there clothes damp. They didn't care about the strange stares they got or the coldness of the room. All they cared about was each other. A waitress in her 40s came up to them and took their orders. Rose ordered a caramel iced latte and Jackson ordered a caramel iced coffee. Their drinks soon came. The couple talked and laughed about many things, mostly the memories they have in this one place and the many others. It was hard to forget where their first date was.

~12:30 am~

Jackson had covered Roses' eyes. They left the cafe and now Jackson was taking Rose somewhere but it was a surprise. They walked for 30 minutes. Rose felt the ground change from the concrete of the sidewalk to dirt. Jackson stopped making Rose stop too. She felt the blindfold being taken off. Her eyes quickly adjusted and she let out a gasp. There they both stood in the middle of a field. The many stars shining down on them while the moonlight shined down on them as if they were in the spotlight on a stage.  That field would be the most important place for the lovers. That field was the place they both said I love you and the place they first kissed. They didn't care about anything at that moment. Rose leaving, the people in the way. Nothing just them. With tears already in each other's eyes, they looked back at each other and they kissed one last time under the moonlight, right where their everlasting love first happened and ended.

Or did it?
