*Beep*beep*beep*
My alarm went off. Ugh! Please let me sleep a little longer!
Ten minutes later:
"EMMA ROSE LENKEN, YOU GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE NOW, OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. She was right, I couldn't be late for school. I actually like school. Everyone thinks I'm weird, but I can give you three reasons why:
1. I get to see my best friend, Hayden Cross. Me and mom call him Hay.
2. Math and Art are pretty fun! Considering the fact that I'm really good at both.
3. And there's lots of cute boys! I haven't really crushed on anyone yet, but I know I will one day. Maybe today because my Math teacher, Miss Reece, said that there's going to be some new students today! So, just keeping my fingers crossed!
I got out of bed, and threw on a white button shirt, with black skinny jeans, and my maroon vans. I threw my hair up into a ponytail, with little strands of hair failing out, cute. Grabbing my text books off my desk, in my room, I shoved them into my school bag, and went down stairs. Mom and dad were in the kitchen, Eli was on his tablet, and Cooper was still packing up his junk into big cardboard boxes. I almost started to cry. He was leaving in two days for uni, and wanted to be in the air force. He had over half his stuff packed up and put in the car already. This boy has a lot of junk.
Anyway, I walked into the kitchen, and mom and dad greeted me,
"Morning sweetie, we made pancakes. You have about ten minutes to eat before Hay gets here." Mom said with her lovely morning voice. Dad pushed a glass of orange juice into my face,
"Here's some freshly squeezed orange juice for you darling."
"Thanks dad! Thanks mom!" I gave them both kisses on the cheek. Eli walked into the kitchen,
"Hey, Em. Can you help me with my newspaper article later today?" Eli's always been into the newspapers, and he just wrote a good article for last weeks paper.
"Didn't I just help you write one a couple days ago?" I asked a little annoyed.
"Yeah, but that was for last weeks paper, and these things have deadlines!" He protested.
"Fine. But you have to share your dessert tonight!"
"Great, thanks Em!" He skipped back into the living room.
I ate my pancakes, and drank my orange juice.
*Honk*honk* that was Hay! I grabbed my bag, and said bye to everyone,
"Bye Emma!" They said in unison. I really have a great family, and I'm glad I do! Heck, if it wasn't for my parents, I wouldn't be the talented, young lady that I am today! I walked out the door, and Hay rolled his window down,
"Morning babe!" He said winking at me.
"Hey! I said not to call me babe!" I shot back, climbing into the passenger's seat.
"Well you never said I couldn't call you baby!"
"You can't call me that either! You know full well that we aren't together, Hay." I said, pointing a finger at him. He turned to me with a serious look on his face.
"Emma." He sounded nervous.
"Yes?"
"I really need to tell you something."
"Okay." I waited for an answer.
"I- I- I." He stuttered. I started to worry. Was something wrong? Did I do something wrong? Or was it something at school. He was silent for five minutes. If he didn't start driving now, we would be late for school.
"Um, Hay. Can you tell me later? We need to go. Like, right now!" I softly told him.
"Uh, yeah. N- never mind." He said sadly, and started driving. He was having mood swings again. He'll feel better around lunch, I know it.
We arrived at school, and the parking lot was full. Its always so busy, parents dropping their kids off, cars pulling in and out, students walking all over the parking lot. It's kind of hard to understand how busy this school is, when there's only like 756 students, subtracting the newbies. Who ever they are. I really hope they're guys. Over half the school's population is girls, and I don't think it bothers anybody else but me, which is a little weird.
I got out of the car, and Hay followed me into the school. We went to our lockers, and started organizing them, like we do every morning. Me and Hay aren't considered as the "Messy students." I adjusted my mirror, and pulled out my first hour text books. Math! My favorite! I walked down the hallway, and stood outside the door. The new students must be here, oh, I'm so nervous. Deep breath Emma, deep breath. I walked in. Only to find a boy, turned around and talking to Tess, sitting in my seat. He had big arms, and curly brown hair. He must be one of the new students, because I've never seen him before. I took another deep breath, this was it. My plan:
1. Politely ask him to move.
2. If that didn't work, then I would tell Miss Reece.
3. But, if he was cute, I would let him sit there.
4. And introduce myself, or ask him if we could hang out after school.
Sounds really easy right? Sure when you like someone, its hard to talk to them, but from the backside looks of him, he would be easy to talk too. But I was completely wrong.
I walked up to him, and lightly tapped him on his shoulder,
"Um, excuse me, I don't want to be rude. But, this is my seat. So, could you please m-" he turned around, and I almost died. He had big, beautiful, hazel eyes, that shined. His chocolate hair was perfectly curled on top of his head. He was wearing a white button shirt, just like mine, but the top 3 buttons were on buttoned, showing a necklace with a cross on it. He had black skinny jeans, and dark blue vans. His nose was perfectly in proportion with his face, and his lips were so kissable, and soft. If I wasn't already dead, I was pretty sure I was now. Okay, so maybe it wasn't that easy after all. In fact, I was completely speechless, and awestruck at the amazing human being sitting right in front of me. Every inch of his body was perfect. Looking at every little detail of his face, I noticed that he was staring straight into my eyes, with his mouth hanging slightly open. Oh, god! Did I have something on my face? If I wasn't already red enough, I was as red as a rose at this point. I was freaking out inside.
Struggling for words, I managed a few,
"Um, is there something wrong?" I asked raising my eyebrows a little. No response. He looked down, and checked out my whole body. Okay, now I was even more nervous than I needed to be! His eyes slowly trailed back up my body, and stopped at my lips for a moment, then fell right on my eyes. I didn't know if it was the lighting or what, but for some reason, it looked like there was a trace of sparkling gold, underneath the brownish hazel of his eyes. Which was mesmerizing and creepy at the same. His bottom lip quivered a little bit. Then he answered me, snapping out of his daze,
"U- um. Yeah, s- sorry. I'll just m- move." He stuttered. He got up quick, and he walked to the back of the classroom. The bell rang, and he sat down and folded his hands neatly on the desk in front of him. Now, I didn't want him to sit back there. In fact, it would've been an honor for a perfect prince like that, to sit in MY seat! Oh, I'm such an idiot! All I wanted now was for him to sit in my seat! Dammit! Wait! Did he just speak with a British accent?
OH MY GOD! THIS BOY WAS BRITISH! My whole life I've always wanted a boyfriend with a British accent! Well, not my whole life. I started to want a boyfriend with a British accent ever since I first became a fan of One Direction. That was my moms fault! When they first became a band, my mom was a fan of them, and she always played them in the car! They were my first favorite band ever! Now that they've broken up, I've started listening to other artists. In fact, there is that one other British boy band I really like. The Vamps? I think... Yeah, that's their name.
"EMMA!" Miss Reece said, snapping me out of my current thoughts.
"Y- yes. Sorry." I sat down, and the boy was staring at me. What? Why was he staring at me like that? It was kinda creepy, but at the same time, super hot. I pulled out a piece of paper, and a pencil, and started doing the warm up. I barely glanced back, noticing that he was already done! He must be super smart!
Still staring at me, the bell rang, and he walked past me, brushing four of his fingers across my hand.
