He takes my hand in his and leads me down the lit walkway. I see the city, glowing like an artificial star in the night, in the far distance to the right and the field on the left. I look up at the night sky that's glittering like his eyes in the sunlight.
"Speechless?" my love, Christian, turns to me.
"Speechless because I have too many words to describe it and I don't know where to start."
"I know exactly how you feel."
"How?"
"I feel that way every time I look at you, Seline."
"Could you be any cheesier?" I smile and look over at him.
"I can try." I chuckle.
I look over to the empty, lightless field. The stars above try to shine as much light as possible on the dank, grassland, but the artificial star pulls too much attention.
"My dear," Christian pulls my attention over to a bench. "Shall we rest?"
"We shall." I sit next to him.
I look at the view of the restless city and the tranquil meadow. I rest my head on his shoulder and look up at the night sky, filled constellations.
"I wish every night could be like this." I whisper loud enough for my love to hear.
"It can be." he kisses my head. "I'd do anything for you."
"Anything?" I look at him.
"Anything."
"Would you kill for me?"
"I'd kill for you, I'd die for you. I'd do anything for you. Every man should for his woman if he's truly in love." once again, I can't speak. "Speechless?"
"You always seem to render me speechless."
"Well, allow me to do it again." he gets up and holds out his hand.
He leads me to a hidden garden filled with many beautiful flowers. Lilies, roses, adalias, etc. In the middle of the garden is a gazebo, covered in lights. I step up onto the gazebo floor and walk around.
"This is absolutely-" I turn around to see Christian down on one knee with a ring.
"Speechless?" he whispers. A tear of happiness rolls my cheek.
A smile spreads across my lips. He gets up and moves towards me. He moves his free hand on my back and pulls me forward.
"Marry me. Be my wife. Be mine."
"I'll always be yours. And I'd love to marry you." he slips the ring onto the appropriate finger. "It's beautiful." I look at the shining jewel on my finger. It shines like a star. An artificial star.
"Come on. It's getting late." he takes my hand and leads me back to our home.
We walk back up the lit walk way up to our home. He opens the door for me and we enter. We walk up to our bedroom and out to the balcony.
He slides his hands around my waist and starts to kiss my neck. He slowly undresses me and we spend our first night, as an engaged couple, making love under the stars.
