October, a week before Halloween softmore year
Kylie
In my freshmen year me,Josh and Aiden decided to go on a camping trip near the cave where people seemed to go missing. Not one person really knew why, some say it was werewolves who lived there. That they turned the people staying near the cave and never let them leave to a normal civilization. Others say it was a bear that had killed and ate them. The only person well, creature I should say that knew what was really happening was Daniel, a teenager who claims to be a werewolf, one of the first ones apparently. He claimed that a pack of werewolves thought that humans were filthy beasts, that they should be eradicated. Daniel was one of the werewolves who had broken off from the pack because he thought that werewolves and humans should rule the Earth together. He has been in the town ever since, away from his ex-pack. That is what he told me. No one in the town believed him, they said he had some type of mental health problem. Everyone tended to avoid him.
I planned the camping trip because I wanted to know the truth, so did Josh and Aiden. Daniel told us not to go near the cave, for our own safety. But we didn't listen, we chose to go near the cave for our week long camping trip. I admit it was dumb of me to camp near the cave. Me, Aiden, and Josh had planned who would bring what for supplies. Aiden would bring the tents and some food along with flares in case we would need help because we were leaving our phones behind for the trip. I would bring the inflatable mattresses and most of the food for the week in a cooler. Josh decided to bring fire starting supplies, a map, supplies for snores and an old grill grate from an old barque. The great was so we could cook our food, the smores was because Josh was a chocolate addict. Everyone in the town knew he was, even the people who moved here would find out in the next week or so.
"Kylie? Is everything packed for your camping trip?" my mother asked me. My mother was a fairly short girl with jet black hair. She was not overweight nor too skinny. She had a fair body type, she exercised daily with the exception of holidays and birthdays. Mother was fairly strict with rules and grades. She wanted her me to be perfect, to get into a high-end college. She wanted her me to become like her.Even though she knew that her that I did not want that. I wanted to become a songwriter, maybe a director, but my mother said the dream of mine was not going to work out, said it was a poor choice in a career path. I knew that she had an upbringing from a poor community. Her parents were not exactly the best to her either, she won't talk to them, nor will I ever meet them as long as she breathes. She will not tell me why I can't meet them just that they are twisted and sick in the head.
"Yes mom! I have everything ready!" I replied to her, not wanting to worry her about me not replying. I began to bring the items I would supply for the trip downstairs along with my own suitcase full of the items I would be requiring for the trip.
I was drawing when Aiden and Josh came to pick me up."hey Josh, hey Aiden" I greeted them cheerfully. "Did you guys bring the stuff like you said you would?"
"Yes I did, even got some extra supplies as well!" Josh replied giving me famous lop-sided grin. That's what made us became friends in the first place, we were in middle school and I was the new kid around Christmas. Everyone there hated me for being the new kid, it did not matter what I did to try and befriend any of them. They would bully me mercilessly, that was when Josh had stood up for me. He asked me if I was ok and introduced himself to me. I guess you could say our friendship began to build there.
"Kylie, are you ok?" Aiden asked me putting a loose hair and tucking in behind my ear.
I felt my face heat up "y..yes I'm fine Aid" I replied quickly looking down at the ground "so" I began "did Aiden bring the items he said he would provide?"
