ch. 3

Luke's P.O.V

When the movie ended we all got up from our seats and walked out to the car. When walking i decided to build up the balls to attempt to hold Carter's hand. But as soon as i attempted to grab it, I was pulled backwards by the hood. I turned around to see Michael there with a stern look on his face.

"What do you think you're doing Hemmings?" 

"Nothing?"

I stood there like a deer in headlights, afraid of how Michael would react if i told him i was attempting to hold his little sister's hand. He shook his head at me and jogged away to catch up with the rest of the group?

"Yo Luke, you coming?"

I looked up to see Carter waving to me. I smiled and walked over.

Michael's P.O.V

Now don't get me wrong, i don't mind Luke trying to pull his cheesy moves on my sister, but i just think its a little early. I mean my sister just got here, and he's already trying to hold her hand!

As i walked over to the group, I heard Carter yelling to Luke telling him to hurry his ass up and i laughed. We hopped into the car and made our way over to the pizza place. When we reached the place, we sat down and made our order and waited.

when everything was going handy-dandy, of course the mood had to be ruined when my bitchy ex-girlfriend walked in. Of course no one else noticed, and i prayed to god that she didn't notice me, but of course she did.

"Michael Baby! It's so good to see you!"

I cringed,even her high pitched voice was enough to annoy me. i looked up and forced a smile waving. She walked over and leaned her hands on the table, almost making her cleavage pop out her shirt. I heard Carter gag next to me and i stifled a laugh. 

"this girl is thirstyyy.."

I burst out laughing at Carter's side comment and everyone stared at me in confusion. i pointed at Carter and just kept on laughing even though Brittney was trying to get my attention but i just ignored her, finally it seemed that she gave up.

"Fine, ignore me, but I'm sure this skank won't be any better than I ever was." 

Luke and I both stood up at her comment, and gave her a death look.

"Leave."

"Now."

She scurried off at Luke and I's outburst and we settled back into our seats. I looked over at Carter to make sure she was alright.

"Thanks for that guys."

We nodded at her and went back to our conversation about how a Fair was coming to town next week and we should make plans to go together. after about 10 minutes, our food came out, and munched away.

Luke's P.O.V

When Brittney called Carter a skank, I'm not sure what came over me, but I was pissed. Carter was no where near a skank, but yet the real skank thought she had the right to call her off. Michael and I scared her off after that, and we laughed.

When we discussed our plans for the Fair that is coming up, i couldn't help but think about how this could be a perfect date plan. i smiled to myself, but Carter seemed to notice.

"What's up Luke? Got some pretty lady on your mind?"

"Yea i do actually."

She seemed to shocked and a little.. disappointed at my comment. Could she possibly think i was talking about someone else?

"Oh, well I'm glad you've found someone i guess."

She smiled and went back to the conversation with the boys. Ha, if only she knew who i was talking about. I guess she'll be in for a surprise when i ask for a date.

Carter's P.O.V

When Luke told me he had a girl on his mind i couldn't help but feel jealous and slightly disappointed. I mean i did have feelings for him, and when he held me close during the movies, i thought that meant he liked me too. But i guess he was just being over friendly.

Finally the pizza came and we devoured about the whole thing in a matter of minutes, especially with Michael's appetite. When we were finished we paid and left and Ashton dropped Michael and I off at home. We waved goodbye as they drove off then walked in.

"You excited for school tomorrow Carter?"

"Yea i guess so. I mean school is school, nothing exciting about that."

He laughed and nodded.  I went upstairs and took a shower, removed my make-up, and put my jammies on. Once in bed, i thought back to today and realized how much fun i actually had with these guys.

I guess school wouldn't be so bad with them there.
