CHAPTER ONE-

‘AAAEEEKKK!’ There was a loud scream coming from the back room, followed by multiple other screeches. I stopped what I was doing and slowly walked to my best friend’s bedroom, I peered in the cracked open door to find nothing. I open the door a little bit more and enter the room, nothing. Still I found nothing, there was no sign of Rebecca anywhere. I started to jog around the room throwing things everywhere, I found the window open. I walked into the bathroom and I collapsed onto the ground, tears rolled down my cheeks, when I saw her, so innocent, lying there on the ground in a pool of her own blood.

I ran out of the room screaming for help, I was shaking and trying to hold myself up at the same time. I ran for the phone still crying and dialled 911. The police answered, I told them everything but they didn’t believe me, they told me that is was silly for me to waste their time, like they thought I was. I started to cry into the phone but they just hung up. I tried calling my mum and Dad but still, no one believed me.

When I ran back into the bathroom, Rebecca was gone. The blood was gone, everything was gone. There was no evidence and no Rebecca. I started crying again and I couldn’t help the tears from falling. I lay back on my bed and before I knew it, I was asleep, but not a good sleep I was having nightmares of the person who took her. I had never seen him but I was imagining what happened, he had dark hair, tall, cold blue eyes, he has broad shoulders.

I woke up the next morning with a terrible headache, nevertheless I got out of bed and got ready for school, everywhere I turned I heard Rebecca but also saw the guy in my dream. I tried to shake it off on the bus to school, even in first period he was there. It was like he was there sitting next to me. I could almost feel his cold icy blue eyes bore into me.

Almost everyone was asking me where Rebecca was, seeing that Rebecca was the only friend that I had. I was alone the whole day thinking about it, I didn’t know how I would cope, I’m not very good at socializing and Rebecca was the only one that new the real me.

CHAPTER TWO-

About a week had gone by since the death of my best friends and I hadn’t really told anyone, they didn’t suspect much since Rebecca’s parents had died when she was little, she was also the only child. No one believed me at the start, so no one was going to believe me now.

When I got to school I noticed a new student, he looked very familiar to me but I didn’t know where I knew him from. He was very mysterious and dark, all the girls immediately fell in love with him, he was an attractive guy, no doubt, but there was something about him that was different.

The rest of the period was kind of unusual, he seemed to follow me around a bit, he sat next to me in class and I couldn’t help but notice him staring at me with curious eyes the whole class. I let it slip seeing he was new and I don’t really know him so he is probably just curious about the different people in class. Even though all the girls were throwing themselves at him, he showed no interest in any of them.

The day went by pretty fast, and it was time to go home. I was walking to the bus when I noticed him staring at me again. This time it was like he was expecting something.  I walked over to him, his eyes never left me. I felt a bit intimidated but I asked “hello is everything okay, I noticed u staring at me in class and now today? Can I help you?” He looked a bit stunned and then introduced himself

“Oh sorry, you just remind me of someone” he said and then paused and continued “ my name is Hayden, and you?”, I gave him my name and continued to small talk about how he was new and why he chose this school and all that.

After we finished talking his eyes stared into mine, I couldn’t ignore his gaze or let my eyes move from his. We stared at each other for what felt like ages until he finally spoke, to my surprise, he offered me a ride home.  I took a look past him and noticed that all that was there was a motorbike, I shook my head in response and he choked out a small laugh. He somehow convinced me to get on the bike and drive me home.
