"My break...at last."
Victoria huffs out a breath into the cold air, with the snow blowing in the wind. Sitting beneath the partially hooded roof, She opens her bottle of water, and quickly swallows down it's warm contents. The never ending rehearsals continue to take their tole on her, but giving up isn't an option. She knew what she'd signed up for from the start, and doesn't intend on backing out now.
Without haste, she crushes the plastic bottle in the palm of her hand, and tosses it into the recycling bin, just right next to the trash bin. Slowly, opening her guitar case, she lifts out the acoustic guitar, and takes out the guitar pick that was stuck between the strings after the last time Victoria practiced her 'song'. Then again, her producers name for it is "a waste of time". She tucks her beautiful, wavy, pink hair, behind her ear lobes, and beneath her fuzzy white hat. She strums the strings slowly at first, and picks up tempo, creating a magnificent masterpiece that echoes over the building top. Hm hm hm, hm hmm hmm. She hums, holding back her strong voice, with the music she plays. This continues on, for what seems like an eternity, with a smile on her face, and her eye lids closed, covering her beautiful orange eyes. Sadly, her phone goes off reading 'Manager' across the screen and as she opens her eyes, the smile she holds fades away. As quickly as possible, she packs up her guitar, picks up the case and phone, and begins to walk towards the door, with the phone tucked between her hand and her ear.
"Yes, I understand. I lost track of time..."
Her voice slowly disappears behind the metal door. The young man who was on the roof before, comes out from his hiding spot and leans against the wall, with his cigarette in between his index finger and middle finger. He drops it onto the ground and crushes it beneath his foot, then brushes back his blonde hair on the top of his head. He speaks, with a soft smile on his face
"Who was that..?"

"What took you so long?"
The scowl on the woman's face only grows deeper as she stares down at Victoria, who's sitting hunched back into the red, velvet fabric, chair. Feeling like a prisoner, she speaks with a confident voice.
"Please understand, I came as fast as I possibly could."
The dark haired woman, with her bright pale skin, slowly leans down and places her hands on each sides of the arm chair, glaring slightly.
"Twenty minutes is not 'fast as possible' Victoria."
She sighs and pulls back, the wrinkles showing more clearly on her face as she lets go of her anger.
"I'd prefer you didn't go to the roof top during your breaks."
Victoria, pulls off her hat and stuffs it into her pocket as she stands.
"I'm afraid you have no control over where I go during MY free time."
With those last words, she stomps out of the lavishly decorated office, and the managers anger returns just as the door is slammed shut.

Just as Victoria leaves the room, her body slams into Adel. The dark haired girl with emerald green eyes responds with a growling sort of noise towards Victoria.
"None of my talent is going to rub off on you, so how about you stay the hell away from me?"
Adel pushes past Victoria roughly, and her only response is dropping her head and looking at the floor. She can't fire back, nor can she use anything physical against the 'green eyed' monster. Getting sued wasn't an option, she thought.
Victoria stomps over to the couch beside the coffee table, and plops down next to Rachel Green, whose blonde hair slides off of her shoulders as she attempts to comfort Victoria.
"How did that witch get this job in their first place?"
Rachel glares at the managers office door, as if trying to burn it down.
"She's rich for one."
On the other couch sits Emma Geltz. No one knows her true name, because the producers rescued her from the slums. She very briefly looks up from her phone, and shows off her deep brown eyes that pop with the tone of her skin and brown hair that frames her heart shaped face.
"And she's 'pretty', if you call it that."
She mutters the last part.
"Fucking plastics."
Victoria looks up and over
"Emma!"
"What? It's true! She annoys-"
The managers door opens and the girls cease their gossip
"What's with the silence? Are you stunned by my beauty?"
Adel flips her hair and walks out of the adjoining room to the hallway, her heels clanking on the tiled floor.
"See?"
Victoria sighs and Rachel shakes with laughter, her bright blue eyes filling with tears.
"Hm."
Both the girls look up at Emma.
"What?"
They reply at the same time.
"I don't know if I've said this before, but you look so much like Andrew."
"Who?"
Victoria sits up completely this time
"Andrew Smith. He records at the same studio as us, but at completely different times I think? So I don't suppose you've met him yet."
Rachel sighs
"Yeah. We're twins, though I would've liked to have kept that a secret."
Emma chuckles as Victoria looks between the two
"Then why'd you tell us?"
Rachel's face flames up with embarrassment
"I-I-I uh."
Both Victoria and Emma laugh at her
"This is not funny!!"
Her face grows even redder as she stands up, and stomps out into the hallway in a rush of fury. As Victoria wipes a tear from her eye, she asks
"I wonder why they don't have the same last name?"
"Ah. That's not my story to tell."
And with that, Emma stands, placing each of her earbuds in her ears, and hums as she exits the room.
* * * * * * *
"So I met this girl."
Andrew starts off. His friends, and band mates pay no attention, but he doesn't care
"But I didn't recognize her.."
Mack, laying stretched out across the couch, sighs as if he's annoyed. He tussles his dark blue hair while playing his phone at the same time; the screen showing the reflection of his extremely bright, almost white, blue eyes.
"Leave her alone, whoever she is."
Almost like Emma, he looks up from his phone and at Andrew.
"You don't need anymore 'toys'"
Andrew holds a hand to his chest, blinking his eyes innocently
"I'm hurt that you think of me like that."
He puffs out his bottom lip.
"I'm just using the words you did dude."
In the chair at the table near the back corner, by the window, sits Blake, he chuckles beneath his breath as he pulls out his pony tail, his dark brown locks flying free. He receives a glare from Andrew in return.
"I agree with Mack."
Blake looks up from his book, showing off his deep purple eyes, one of the rarest eye colors you can find.
"How many girls are you with now? Ten?"
His velvet deep voice rolls over the room, and across the other band mates skin.
"I'm not 'with' any of them."
Andrew brushes back his hair with his fingers
"Just... 'Friends with benefits'?"
The back room door opens. A man with a scruffy beard on his face, and dark skin steps out.
"Will all of you shut up? And Blake, don't do that again."
Blake grins
"Do what?"
The man yawns
"You know what."
Their tones are both a bit flirtatious, but no one notices. He steps back into the room, slamming his door behind him.
"Why's Liam so pissed off?"
Andrew asks
"Dunno."
Mack goes back to playing his phone, and Blake goes back to reading his book. A silence washes over them, as time slowly ticks by.
