Chapter One

*NOTE- this book is probably not accurate in how this disorder is caused but i can tell the story pretty accurately as i know someone with autism so please no judgement i don't mean to offend anyone or put wrong information in the book on purpose, again this is just a book*

Hi my name is Mercy Williams... my story goes way back from the age of two when my mother found out i had severe Autism, but my twin sister Faith did not... 

When i was two my mother noticed something different about me, I wasn't maturing like i should have, so she decided to take me to the doctor. We waited in the waiting room for what seemed like hours when my mother and I were finally called back, 

"Carly, the doctor is ready to see Mercy now." My mother smiled, set her magazine down, then picked me up as we headed to the little room the nurse took us to. When we entered the room my mother set me down and i just sat looking at the wall while my mother answered the basic questions the nurse asks. 

It seemed like my mother answered millions of questions when the nurse said she had all the information she needed, the nurse stepped out of the room and my mom dug in her purse for her phone when she dialed my fathers number to check on my sister Faith. 

"Hi is everything okay with Faith?" There was muffled noised coming through the phone, "Ok, Milk you said?" More muffled noise, "Okay, Yes, I love you, Bye" She hung up the phone then looked at me and smiled when Dr jones came into the room. 

"Hi i'm doctor Jones," He shook my mothers hand. 

"Hi Im Carly this is your little patient Mercy" her head turned my way. 

"Well isn't she lovely" He smiled, "what seems to be the problem?" 

Before my mother spoke she sighed, 

"I think my little Mercy here has an illness and I wanted to get it checked out." 

He nodded his head and started to proceed by asking my mother how i behaviorally act. 

"Well her twin sister is already walking and starting to talk in almost full sentences like the normal two year old, but Mercy does not crawl and do normal two year old stuff," She paused to take a breath, "She sits around blankly waiting for someone to bring her attention and her moods are very... Uh moody as i would describe it." 

"I see-" My mother interrupted him,  

 "There is a disorder called Autism that runs in our family, we were hoping she does not have it..Oh sorry i completely interrupted you ha what were you going to say again?" The doctor laughed.  

"I was going to ask if there were any mental disorders in your past family but you just answered it for me"  

We were in the office for almost the whole day doing tests on me to see what was wrong when the doctor looked at my mother and gave her shocking results... My mother started to cry and listened to everything ,y doctor told us and when we left she immediately called dad. 

"Hunny? We just got out of the doctor" she was still crying, there was muffled noise, "Yes i will tell you what he said when we get to the house," Muffles still came through the phone, "Of course i love you, More muffles "Buh-bye" 

My father and sister were waiting for us when we pulled into the driveway at my house when my dad walked up to us and asked what happened. 

"Charles...." My mother broke down crying.....
