People are scared; scared to be themsleves. Afraid that they might be labeled as an outcast. Afraid that people might judge them. That's why they wear masks. Masks that can make them fit in. Masks that can hide their true selves. Masks that can protect them from judging eyes. But inside those masks they all hope that others woudn't be able to see their true selves.
Their true selves they sacrificed just to fit in. Their true selves that they wish they could show. But couldn't.
Afraid of the chance to be judged with those judging eyes, judging eyes that can wreck a human being. Judging eyes that can cause a person to be depressed. Judging eyes that can turn into words. Into words that are sharper than a knife. Into words that has more impact than a bullet.
Afraid of the chance of being bashed, hated. Afraid of being killed by those harsh words, not physically but emotionally.
Frustrating. The point is, we're all afraid of 'that chances'. Key word: 'chance'. Chance! We don't even know if it'll really happen, yet we're scared to take the risk. But the thing is, being yourself is something worth sacrificing for.
As long as you're not stepping on someone. As long as you're not hurting anyone. As long you're not burdening anyone. As long as you're not wrecking your reputation. As long as you're still kind. As long as you're not breaking rules. As long as you're doing it for your own good. It's worth it.
