Chapter 1: Summer Tour!

Hi, I'm (Y/N) Pulman! You're probably asking "Why are you breaking the fourth wall?" Anyway, I'm August Pulman's twin. We may not look alike, but we are as close as peanut butter and jelly! Today is finally the day he is joining my school! He hasn't been to a public school yet, but I have. I have one best friend named Julian. He certainly has an attitude.

Yesterday Mr. Tushman asked me to give Auggie a tour of our school with Julian, Jack Will, and Charlotte. And that's how we ended up here, in Mr. Tushman's office with Auggie. We started walking towards Homeroom when Charlotte started talking about things she showed on. She got interrupted by Julian,
"So, we have homeroom with Mr. Brown, my Mom says he's a little weird."

With that, we started walking to the Cafeteria while Charlotte talked our ears off.
"Hey Charlotte," Julian called the bubbly blonde. She smiled at him and he said,
"Do you ever stop talking?" What a jerk. I sent him a glare and he winked at me. Ew. Weirdo. He continued the tour, "Anyway the Cafeteria food is okay for school food. Unless you eat special food?" Julian asked. He was just looking for an excuse to be rude. We need to have a serious talk after this. "No, he doesn't, Right Auggie?" I asked. He nodded.

The next stop was our science classroom. Julian began "Science is an elective and it's supposedly really hard. Jack Will's taking it. Hey, maybe you guys can fail together." Julian said. He is really getting on my nerves today. Jack Will said, "Why don't you get out of the way so he can see it."
"Okay," he said moving aside letting us enter, but he quickly grabbed my hand and whispered "(Y/N) is he really your twin? You guys don't look alike at all." I playfully glared at him.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked. "Nothing, Nothing." He smiled innocently and began to explain,
"Not much to see, just chairs, desks, oh and this is an eraser." Charlotte spoke up immediately "He knows what an eraser is, right (Y/N)?" I nodded
"How am I supposed to know what he knows if he doesn't speak?" said Julian
"Julian! He's just shy!" I said
"Yes I know what an eraser is... and The words supposedly, you said science was supposebly hard. Maybe our Mom can homeschool you too." Auggie said quietly. I smile at Auggies' remark.
"And one question, What's the deal with your face?" Julian asked and my mouth opened in shock. "Julian why would you even ask that?" I said. He ignored me the Jack spoke up
"Julian shut up!"
"You shut up!" He shot back "Why don't we all shut up!" Charlotte said
"What. Mr. Tushman said we could ask questions" Julian said, "But not rude questions like that!" I was still surprised he asked that in the first place. I went up to my brother and hugged him and whispered to him.
"It's gonna be okay. Don't listen to him. C'mon, let's go" Julian crossed arms and scoffed. I walked out the door and spoke coldly over my shoulder,
"See you at school" I then walked away. He glared at me and walked away.

"So are you guys going to tell me how it went?" Mom asked us at dinner
"Mr. Tushman went on about how sweet those kids were especially that Julian"
"No," said Auggie almost immediately
"Is he one of those kids who acts one way in front of adults, and another in front of other kids?" she asked
"He not usually like that. I don't know what happened today." I said.
"That's because you like him," Via said.
"No way." I rolled my eyes.
"Goodnight" I mumbled and walked into my room. I took out my journal and wrote '(Y/N) Albans' Maybe I do like him, but if he dares to be like that to Auggie again, I won't anymore. I thought as I scribbled out what I wrote and jumped into bed.
