I am the culture
I am the beads swaying on the waist of a dancer
I am the dark skin girl forged from fire
I am the culture
I am every textile and every fabric
I am the wind causing the canoe to seal
Yet the calm wind the sea breeze brings
I am deeply rooted in the soil
I came from gold
I produce oil
I am the black culture
I am bold and brave
I dance in the mist of danger
I've been broken and bend against my will but I still stand firm and rose to become great
I absorb hate and turn it to love
I blossom in any weather especially in the storm
I shape my world and affect lives
I am the culture of love and peace
I embrace the culture of harmony
I am black and proud
I believe in the black culture
I am the culture
