A New Beginning

The Final Chapter

I opened my eyes, the morning sun shining into my room. It was both blinding, and refreshing, yet suddenly alarming, for was I living or dead? My question was answered when a nurse came into the room, and dropped the plate of food she was carrying, she covered her mouth before rushing out of the room "Huh" I felt utterly confused, and soon even more so as doctors rushed into my room all of them struck in awe at the sight of me "He's....He's awake" one stuttered in surprise, as one other rushed back out. Soon almost all the doctors in the hospital had come to check my vitals, change my bandages, even change my bedpan....Eww....But it was like I was some special guest. I felt relieved when a familiar face rushed through the door "Izuku" The sandy blonde haired woman covered her mouth as she saw me "Hey Auntie" I called as she rushed over to em and hugged me, I squealed in pain as she pulled away "Oh I'm so sorry" She said. I looked over to the doorway and noticed that ka-Chan and masaru were at the doorway as well "Oh god. When we heard the news you attacked a villain hide out alone, I couldn't believe it" I saw her raise her fist and bring it down cracking it over my head "HOW FUCKING STUPID ARE YOU, WHAT ARE KATSUKI NOW" She growled outward as I rubbed my head "Ow ow ow, No No. I'm not" She calmed herself before sitting next to me "The police and hero's have decided to try and keep this whole incident under wraps until you were able to give them your point of view, Bur the doctors that visited you said that at least...You'd be in a three year coma" I gasped seeing now why they were so surprised "How long have I been put then" She smiles and looked over at me "2 days" my jaw dropped as she said that, but as I tried to gain my composure a realization came to me "Umm...Why is my body not like...Completely broken...Unable to move at all...I put it through absolute hell in the fight" She Smiled again "That's quite simple actually. Well, actually quite complicated, let me explain-" Katsuki walked forward pushing her out of her way as he looked down at me "After the news debut about your 'Heroic sacrifice' to ensure the villains plans wouldn't come into action, You were placed in a hospital very near by, so near it actually had damage dealt to it because of your fight. As you stayed in the hospital, the news debut became national, and people who were all across the world traveled here to help heal you. Though your body's been healed to a point, you've lost many normal functions, and will have to go through a lot of physical therapy to recover. Not to mention all these Hero's keep talking about a 'Hero's heart', and about rewarding it to you" Mitsuki attacked katsuki, pulling at his hair and cheeks before smacking him on the head, but as they fought my eyes were sparkling "The...The...The hero's heart...You mean...The prize given to only the hero's who sacrifice everything to protect and serve, and or prevent humongous disasters" Mitsuki and Katsuki stopped fighting for a second and looked at me "Yup/Bout Right" They said in unison before going back at eachother again. I felt lightheaded, and soon masaru noticed "Do you need water Izuku" I nodded as he turned to get some some, but as he stopped at the door as a hulking man walked in carrying flowers "A-a-a-all might" The bakugous exclaimed in unison as I smiled, seeing my teacher again "Young midoriya....I...I am truly ashamed of this" All might Placed the flowers next to the bed and got on his hands and knees, before bowing his head "I should have been the one to prevent villain attacks not you...I should have protected you...But I didn't...I am truly ashamed" I smiled picking up a rose and tossing it over as it landed in front of him "Don't ever feel ashamed. You were the one who taught me the ways of a hero, so instead be proud of what you created, rise, a great hero shouldn't ever be in that stance" He stood slowly and bowed "Thank you, Young midoriya" I nodded to him as he stood up strait "IZUKU" A cry let through the hospital, as my heart thumped faster. "IZUKU" The voice came again, my heart urging me onward. And this time, I followed without hesitation. I leaped from the bed, my legs and arms still sour and wounded but I didn't care, I had to see her. As I rushed out of the room I saw her, rushing toward me, tears filling her eyes as she smiled brightly "OCHAKO" I yelled rushing to her. She jumped and I caught her, spinning her in the air, and as I set her down I couldn't stop myself. I pressed her body against mine and leaned in kissing her, it was a very passionate kiss, our lips molding together as we did so. We only stopped as Mitsuki coughed alerting us of our viewers. "Oh, Izuku you mustn't be out of bed. Your still recovering" I looked into Ochako eyes as she tried to push me back to my room "You need rest, Come on now" I smiled taking her hand and dropping to my knee "No. I don't need rest, I need you. Ochako Uraraka, in my thought during that fight I was think always of you, and what kept me going when I felt like giving up, was knowing you were here waiting for me when I returned. Ochako I want to spend the rest of my life like that, spending it all with you. So, Ochako Uraraka, Will you marry me?" Everyone in the hospital went silent, Mitsukis face was shadowed, ka-Chan's jaw was hanging open along side his fathers and all mights, and most everyone was waiting for the answer. And from a tear filled joyous Ochako came my answer "Yes, Yes Izuku Yes a million times yes" I stood up kissing her as we stood there, Everyone clapping as we did so. But after me and Ochako departed, Mitsuki Placed her hand on my shoulder, and behind me I knew that my hardest fight, had only just begun. I blasted through the hall rushing past people as Mitsuki came rushing after "IZUKU MIDORIYA, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO PROPOSE TO A GIRL LIKE HER AFTER DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT, LOOKS LIKE ILL JUST HAVE TO SHOW YOU SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED MANNERS" I ran clear out of the hospital, followed by Mitsuki, Katsuki, masaru, all might, the doctors and nurses, And walking in the back, My betrothed, My fiancé, My love of my life, Ochako Uraraka.

So this is how my story ends, goes to show you though, even when life's hell, everything is going against you, and you feel like nothing is going to get better, Just enjoy the small things, cause once they build up, life doesn't seem that hard anymore.
