Pull Out the Root

12 3 2

Hey guys, I'm 12 years old and made this poem. Hope you enjoy!

In your darkness.
There is still light.
Funny how one spark.
Can make a whole fire.
Don't let it burn out.
Don't let it break.
Don't let it turn out.
To be the same mistake.
This is what I ask of you.
This is your task to do.
First you're at a stage.
Where you are ashamed.
Then the more you do it.
The more you get used to it.
The more you don't mind.
But what's at stake here.
Is your life.
Pull out the root.
Not just the plant.
It destroys you.
So put it in the trash.
In your heart it grows.
It is taking a hold.
And when you die.
It will take your soul.
Whether life or death.
Nothing or breath.
Nothing or your heart beat.
That moment where you can't sleep.
Tears start to fall.
Cause you're emotional.
You say you're dead inside.
But you start to cry.
Any person would do it.
If they were going threw it.
It pushes it pulls.
It takes a hold.
If you didn't sin.
You wouldn't be human.
You can't get very far.
Cause your heart is hard.
Whether right or wrong.
You say you're strong.
Let's let it rest.
And put it to the test.
And pull out the root.
Not just the plant.
It destroys you.
So put it in the trash.
In your heart it grows.
It is taking a hold.
And when you die it'll take your soul.
