Oh how I wish
I could take you away from the waters edge,
because I know,
Only to well,
The ice of those freezing waves,
how lonely it is there,
How you can drown so easily,
How everything seems so pointless,
And how it feels as if no one would notice
if you just
Disappeared under those waves...
And I don't want that for you,
Not for anyone....
I want to help you out of that wretched place,
I never wanted you to even see it,
Nonetheless be consumed by its frigid waters, and I want to save you.
And I want to be there for you,
So that your not alone,
as I once was,
And to shield you from the waves
To protect you,
But I don't know how...
For how could I save you,
when I could not save
myself....
