He was new to school and didn't like anyone so when the reader and him get paired to be partners for a project she wanted to be friends with him but he didn't want to so everyday she would hang out with him. Always working on the project in Wayne manor because she doesn't want to go home because of her abusive foster father. Damian doesn't know that she is usually depressed because she is always smiling in and out of school trying to be happy. Damian is always hearing rumors of her being the outcast and the dumb one in school. While working on the project he wants to do all the work and doesn't want her help at all but she is stubborn and helps. Then something bad happens while working on the project and Damian yells at her for being stupid and no wonder she has no friends and she responds with I thought you were my friend and he responds or yells that she forced him to be her friend that he wanted nothing to do with her in the first place. She is heart broken because she devolved a huge crush on him so after the presentation she stops talking to him and stops waiting for him for him to be picked up by Alfred (she'd always wait for him to picked up). After days of not talking to her and seeing her not smiling and being happy he even starts to see bruises on her he try's to talk to her but she ignores him. One day he corners and he apologizes to her and everything but she just starts crying and he doesn't know what to do so he kisses her and asks her what's wrong and she tells him about the depression and the abuse . He helps her with the depressed and robin helps her with her foster father.
