Chapter 1

Levi's POV

Black filled the house. Orange, red, and yellow glowing in my eyes. Lungs collapsing. I couldn't control my breathing. Eyes were starting to fail and imagining two figures climbing through and talking.  Everything went all black.

"There's someone here!" yelled the man. The other man picked Levi up and ran out of his house. The sound of crackling then swoosh of wood falling. The house fully engulfed, tore to the ground. Flame swallowing the ashes. Sirens blaring, everyone yelling. " GET THE STRETCHER!" " BACK AWAY!" " IT'S GOING TO COLLASPS GET OUT OF THERE!"

I was put on a stretcher and rushed to the hospital. It was five days maybe a week I couldn't remember. I woke up seeing bright lights and only to the sound of slow beeping and quiet. While looking around there was someone sleeping in one of the side chairs. I could only think why was he here? I have no family, I lived by myself. So why was he here? The man woke up and seen I was awake. He got up from the chair and walked to the side of my bed. He was tall and had brown hair with glowing green and blue eyes. My head filled with questions. I looked up at him questionably. "Where am I?" He answered. " Your in the hospital, your lucky I saved you in time."

" What how? What happened? How long have I been here?" I asked quickly. He replied giving a sad tired look. "Your house was burnt to the ground, and you were trapped inside and it almost collapsed on you." "But how? Why are you here?" " Woah slow down there. I am here to ask you some questions. Levi Ackerman right?" I nodded my head yes. "Well Levi I'm detective Yeager but you can call me Eren. We believe that your uncle is still alive and is coming after you. Do you have anything he wants or is it something else?"

I couldn't believe it after twenty years, I thought my whole family was gone and only to hear Kenny is still alive. That bastard never really cared for me. I was seven at the time when I lost all of them. "I didn't know, I mean he used to beat me, but that was to teach me how to fight I don't know." Eren gave me a worried look more of concern than anything. "You still never answered my questions." "Oh sorry, Well I'm also a firefighter so I was in the building and saw you collapse. I picked you up and carried you to the stretcher."

I was lost, how can he be both? "Wait how are you a detective and a firemen?" " I volunteer when I am off duty." "ohhhh." Well that cleared up things.  Just the thought of Kenny coming after me. What would he do to me? I must of lost concentration from asking myself to many questions, because Eren had his hand on my forehead. Eren took his hand off and ran out of the room.

I went to speak but nothing came out. My chest was tightening. Feeling I wasn't able to breath. My chest rising up and down faster than normal. Everything went blurry, I started coughing. I couldn't tell what was happening.

Two people walked back in and one holding a thing that looked like a bottle. I looked up with my tired eyes. The figure came close to me, He was feeling my breathing and doing other things to check me. He asked me. " Levi can you take a deep breath in than out?" I took a deep breath in and out as he asked me too. My breathing became heavier. The figure then put a mask on me and it helped me to control my breathing. "Everything is blurry." I whined threw the mask.

The figure put eye drops in my eyes and I blinked fast. "Don't worry your eyesight will clear up. I ran some tests and your good to go. Just I will give you an inhaler so if your fit ever happens again you have it ready. Your going to be released tonight." "Ok that's good." I was happy I was getting out. I didn't want to stay there for ever. I just had to stay for a couple of hours more to make sure nothing else happens.

*Time Skip*

Detective Yeager was signing me out of the hospital. I could finally see after a few hours of the eye drops were working. My house was burnt to the ground and nothing was left. He told me to sit down in the chair while he did it. I got cold and started shaking. It was so bad you can see it. It looks like he was signing the last paper and put it down quickly. Then started walking towards me. Detective Yeager seen that I was cold and put his jacket around me to keep me warm. 

There was a sweet sent to it. It made me feel like I was safe from the world and all of it's worries faded. "Do you have anywhere to go? Any family close by?" Eren asked. I shook my head no while burying myself into detective Yeager's jacket. I felt like I was getting sick but I didn't tell anyone.
