Nathan's POV:

I've seen my neighbors in the woods behind my house a lot recently. She reminds me of a Kitten, tiny and cute. I wish we could be friends, but every time I think about to trying to talk to either one my father's voice reminds me they nobody wants to be friends with someone as worthless as me, I mean even my own mother left me.

As I'm walking through the woods I hear a soft feminine whimper, without even seeing the person I know it's her. Slowly approaching where I'm assuming she's hiding as I can't see her anywhere, hearing more whimpers I call out to her and ask her if she's ok. A sandal hits me in the head from the tree I was standing under, looking up I see her dangling from a branch just barely.

"Can you help me? The branch I was on was really slick and I slipped... I'm not sure how much longer I can hold on..."

Looking closer at her arms shaking from the effort of holding her weight up, "Jump and I'll catch you."

She lets go and I brace myself to catch her small frame, I stumble slightly from the force of catching her. I set her down slowly making sure she's ok, once I see she's ok I start to walk away; no need to bother her anymore.

"Wait what's your name? I've seen you a couple times around here." I hear her small voice ask.

"My uh my name is Nathan, I live a couple houses down." I nervously run my hand through my hair.

That seems to catch her attention and her eyes and face light up, "My names Sang, were basically neighbors! Honestly I've been calling you Rabbit in my head for a while now!"

I chuckle at her excitement until I realize what she said, "Wait why Rabbit?"

"Well because you always run off before we get close enough to talk to you," she pouts here, "Plus your hair looks like rabbit fur!"

"Well those seem like good reasons. Hmm then I get to call you Kitten, because you're small and I saved you from a tree!"

The happiness in her eyes makes my chest swell, I didn't know it yet, but that's the day I started to fall for this tiny girl.
