Drop Of Blood

Beginning

Hey guys so this is my story that I have been writing on my computer notes and I have decided to put it up so here we go

Mick POV

I sat there my breath catching in the middle of my chest it felt like a huge knot just sitting there not going anywhere. The smell of blood floating around the house her blood on my hands I closed my eyes clenching my jaw thinking back... What if I hadn't even met her?

*Year before*

I sat in my best friend's house his name was Josef Kosten one of the oldest vampires I know in L.A like always I came to his house to in joy a bit of freshies... Aka fresh human blood still warm. We have woman that let us feed the amount we need. I slumped into the arm chair my day had been slight stressful as I am a PI and I saw lots of cases that haunts the mind for ever and in my case it would be forever. You look terrible. Josef said while walking over. But nothing will cheer you up better than a good feeding. He said smirking as a blonde and brunette walked up I watched the brunette she seemed shy quiet and keep to herself she didn't make eye contact with either of us and ignored the prompting of the blonde to look up pay attention to stop picking at her fingers to make eye contact to get her hair out of her face. Well Mick which one? I was too focused to even notice Josef was talking. Hey brunette what's you're name? I asked she looked up stunned. A-Abigale. She said still very shocked I smiled some the blonde looked down steamed at the fact she wasn't even acting like a freshy should. Can I call you Abby? Well uh only my friends do... Or they would if I had any so yeah sure why not. I laughed some and Josef looked at me strangely. I'll take Abby here. I said smiling at her she stood there not moving I frowned. Abigale go to him. The blonde snapped. Are you sure Mr. St.John she's new and doesn't know anything. She snapped I stood. Leave her alone Blondie. I snapped as Abby looked down blushing I turned Abby around and walked her to a more quiet area she looked down at the floor. A-are you going to feed or something? No... Not on you. I said. My name's Mick. I held my hand out she shook it. Nice to meet you.

Time skip

I had started seeing Abby on a normal day basis she didn't look at me differently and to be honest this had been the first time in a relationship with someone since my ex. Being what I means it's hard to find love and keep it. After a while it seemed like she was always in my apartment and she stayed there constantly sleeping on the couch. Anyway October started and about in the middle of the month I started noticing it at first it was faint but then as time went on it became stronger and faster it sounded like a heart beat it ecoed Abby's and followed her I was panicking to be honest when I pieced everything together. She was sick all the time but only in the day time she craved stuff from food to the worst part... blood. to be honest when I did piece it together I felt sick  finally one day she came back home smiling widely. Mick guess- you're pregnant. I said she frowned. It explains everything and the heart beat following you. I said I didn't like this I knew the kid wouldn't be normal and I felt so responsible I didn't even know this was possible she frowned. You're not happy. I stood turning around to look at her as she sniffled. No I am... I'm just worried... I didn't know this could happen and I am scared for the kid. She sighed about to cry more I used my vampire speed to be next to her in a second flat I grabbed her into a hug. It's ok what ever happens we'll get through this.

Time skip *next few months*

The last few months consisted of working on getting the apartment more secure as word about rare blood got out very quickly in the Vampire community. I couldn't even touch Abby because I didn't know what the vampire would do she constantly wore silver and had silver weapons on her that way if she ever did get attacked she could defend herself and have a good chance of winning. On my spare time between Abby being pregnant and doing my job as a PI I had been shopping for a ring... Josef was a bit worried about this as she was human but I loved her. A human friend named Lily who was actually a mid wife agreed to actually help with the whole process so the secret of vampires didn't get out which meant Abby and Lily spent loads of time around each other. Four or five months into the pregnancy we found out we were having a little girl I came home from work and frowned as normally Abby was in the living room but she wasn't. Abby? I called out confused. UP STAIRS SPAIR ROOM! I walked up and into a gothic nursery. What the- well? She asked I frowned as Abby turned to me. Why? Why gothic? Well given the circumstances- you don't even know she's gonna be- I stopped sighing. No way is she going to be like me. She going to be somewhat like you. Doesn't mean she has to. I stopped again I didn't want her to be cursed like me I just wanted her to be normal Abby winced and I snapped out. WHAT?!? WHATS WRONG?!? false labor that's all. She said sitting down in the black rocking chair I sat in the floor cross legged looking at Abby. So did you think of any names? She smiled. Yes I did. Well? I like Rose. No. What why? Because I had a great grandma named Rose who always pinched my cheeks and always thought I was a girl named Michelle. Abby busted out laughing. Now I really want to name her Rose. I shook my head annoyed with the name. Oh my God... Mick she's moving. I got on my knees and felt where she had put my hand I laughed. Don't worry honey I won't let her name you Rose I said as low as a vampire can go and at that the movement of the baby became stronger I laughed some.

JULY 25TH 2002

I got home around noonish for lunch Abby was now seven months pregnant and for some reason she was livid with me over something I don't even remember what because at this point she was so easy to anger she then stopped. Oh God. She said swallowing hard. What? My water broke. My heart sunk and everything seemed to loose sound I felt sick I fumbled with my phone and called Lily as I sat Abby on the couch Lily answered her phone with her normal tone which was kinda goofing offish with us. LILY ABBY'S WATER BROKE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND- she yelled for me to calm down I took a deep breath trying to calm myself. Just get here now. I snapped she reminded me that I was technically prepared for this because I was a paramedic in world war 2 but I had been fixing things like bullet wounds and burns ECT I wasn't delivering a half human half Vampire baby that is three months early I sat with Abby who seemed to not be as panicked I fought the urge to vamp reminding myself who it was and the fact that was my baby I couldn't hurt my kid.

Several hours later *4:20*

Something was wrong Lily was stuck in traffic as there was a wreck and there was something wrong I took a deep breath using one of my many abilities as a vampire I knew what was wrong Abby knew something was wrong too she was bleeding and it wasn't looking good for either of them. Mick- Abby what do you want me to do? I asked as if reading her mind. Save her. What?!? I snapped she was crying now. If one of us is going to make it out of this is needs to be her and- NO BOTH OF YOU ARE- MICHAEL*mick is also short for Michael* save her no turning me... If I flat line just let me go. I nodded and got a few things and then started working on saving the baby I didn't even pay attention to Abby if I did niether would live a few minutes later at 4:30 I had a small wriggling baby girl in my arms I smiled laughing starting to cry as small screams filled the room. She's beautiful and- I looked over Abby she was gone she looked happy and sad all at once I felt angry and sat the baby down

Present time

I was brought out of thought when I felt a hand on my shoulder I looked up and saw Josef. Mick come on man she wouldn't want you to do this to yourself. HOW DO YOU KNOW?!? I yelled at him he shushed me as he was holding the thing that had been the death of Abby. Hold your daughter. Get that thing away from me. I snapped Josef was fighting not to turn he turned to Lily who was talking to Gearmo who was a friend of mine who is a vampire who works at the morge he had come to pick up the body. Take the baby. Josef said to her he then turned to me and grabbed me by the back of my shirt forcing me to walk up stairs he threw me into my office and then started in on me yelling how I was taking this miracle for granted that one of them was still alive because I could have lost both. Josef if it weren't for the kid she would- MICK YOU'RE A FATHER NOW ACCEPT IT! ACCEPT THAT ABBY IS GONE! YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER DOWN THERE WHO NEEDS HER FATHER! I looked down he had never really lost it with me to that extent. Josef- no Mick what are you gonna do?!? I looked down

Time skip

I had put her in the crib and I was sitting across the room in the rocking chair so far she slept on normal schedules it was dark out already so I had no problem with staying up since I am in fact a vampire I had some rage left at the fact of today's events but they seemed to melt away when she started crying I was there in a second I sighed picking her up and bouncing her. It's ok honey... It's alright daddy's got you... And trust me I'm never letting you go.
