Platform 9 and ¾ was jam packed with parents and their children waiting to aboard the Hogwarts Express ready to start or return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a family of three squeezed through the crowds the two males looking nothing alike the woman, who was dark whereas they were fair. ‘Oh look Daphne’s here be back soon you two’ Astoria Malfoy said when she saw her sister, kissing her husband and son on their foreheads and walking in her sister’s direction. The young boy was starting his first year at Hogwarts, he was so excited and nervous at the same time and had found it hard to sleep the night before, his father Draco Malfoy sensed this and knelt down in one knee cupping his young son’s face in his hands ‘What’s wrong Scorpius?’ he asked, smiling to reassure his son. Scorpius lowered his head looking at the floor then back at his father’s face ‘I’ve just got butterflies, and I’m scared I won’t make friends’ he said quietly. Draco stood up and ran his hand through Scorpius’ hair ‘Son, you’ll be great at making friends, and don’t be afraid to make friends with people in other houses, you’re all equal and exceptionally talented. Remember that. Now come on lets go find your mum and auntie’ Draco said taking hold of Scorpius’ trolley carrying all of his luggage.
The family stood in a huddle waiting for the train to be cleaned; they made small talk to calm Scorpius’ nerves. 5 minutes later the students were able to aboard the scarlet Hogwarts Express. Astoria sweeped her son into a big bear hug and kissed him continuesoly on his head and face ‘Mummmm’ Scorpius’ squirmed, Astoria apologised and it was then Draco’s turn to hug their son, he squeezed him tight and whispered in his ear ‘Remember what I said.’ Last it was Scorpius’ auntie Daphne to hug Scorpius, she told him to find his cousin Queenie if he ever had any problems, he nodded and followed Queenie on the train as his father helped load the luggage on the train.
Scorpius sat in a carriage with Queenie and her 2 best friends Tori and Caleb, both who he’d met before. He looked out the window waving to his family, the butterflies growing more as the train set off.
