She sits in front of me, fiddling with her round diamond earring complaining about how much it hurts.
"IT REALLY HURTS!!!!" She cried. Eventually she gives up complaining and opens up instagram on her ipad. She begins by opening the profile of her lover, Tholak. Although Tholak has proven to be strange, he doesn't give much attention to his lover Anunya.

It's roughly 3 minutes later and Giasant opens 'hype bae' on her ipad and starts showing a pair of Swarovski crystal stilettos to Bellone. I can tell Bellone is extremely bored with looking at pictures of shoes and Giasant's cat. Bellone gets called up to the front to discuss reflections.

Now 6 minutes later we arrive in geography. Next to me sits Henriette and sayeem. Henriette fiddles with a piece of orange paper Whilst listening to Sanchez and Fenfo argue over where to categorise influenza. Bonnie just returned from 2the toilet and immediately goes back to working on her orange sheet. I watch across the room as Jeremiah yawns and Kristine sticks a purple sheet into her book with rank eco glue.

We just got released from classics/latin to go to break. I wander down to the cafeteria with Veron and Mahoot and we make our way to the grab and go section of the Nixon when only 7 minutes into break the final bell rings to head back to lessons. Confused, we think it must be a malfunction but then 4 seconds later an announcement plays , its Mr Daisy Brooks, informing the school about an amber lockdown. "PLEASE STAY CALM. THIS IS AN AMBER LOCKDOWN. THIS NOT A DRILL. PLEASE HEAD TO YOUR NEAREST TEACHER." The announcement repeated 5 times before the whole school was plunged into panic. We disobey the orders and flee to the Nixon toilets where we pray that we will be safe. We camp out in the toilets for approximately 6 hours until we realise that outside the toilets is the janitors trolley. "Is it Safe?" Veron Whispers.
"I don't know, but I'm hungry. Let's get some food, nothing's happened so far." Mahoot murmurs under her breath.
Frightened, we searched the Nixon kitchens for any leftovers. We enter the pitch black kitchen, where the naan and curry is usually prepared. Fumbling around, we ended up turning on the lights and saw a shaking figure hunched around the corner.
"Who the heck is that?" Mahoot asked quietly, grabbing the closest item she could find (which happened to be a brown bag). She twisted in attempt to make a weapon. I hid behind Veron in fear. Creeping closer, we hear small whimpers, as we get closer i recognise the shadow. It's licis. I rush to him and throw my arms around him.
"Are you alright?" I say over his sobbing.
"Yeah but i saw them, the guy, he had his arm around Bellone's mouth. Muffling her screaming."
In shock, we decided we had to help Bellone if she had any chance of survival.
"Licis, what direction did you see the man take Bellone?" I asked softly.
"Out near the music department, I think." He said.
"Alright. We should go Check it out if we want any hope of saving her." Veron muffled.
Cautiously, we made our way down to the music department. It was dark and suspense loomed in the air.
"Oh my god, that smells like shit!" Mahoot whispered.
It took a moment for the smell to sink in, and when I realised what it was, panic spread in every cell in my body as we peered into practice room 4 and see a trail of blood stain the carpenter floor. My life just flashed before my eyes, Bellone, but not alive. A drumstick stabbed into her left eye, guitar strings wrapped around her neck, and a flute in her bloody mouth.
"Run. RUN." Mahoot yelled.
We sprinted across the music department, and into the languages unit. We didn't have time to think where we were going and the dangers of the situation, we just ran. For our lives. The languages area was the darkest, almost too dark to be real. We ran into chairs and tables outside, but we didn't have time to dwell on the pain. We just had to make it out alive.
"Does ANYONE have their phones?" I asked.
"No, mine's out of battery. And Mahoot isn't allowed her phone at school." Veron replied.
"Okay, let's go-"
I stopped. I heard footsteps coming near us. Licis started whimpering, grabbing onto my arm. Mahoot and Veron grasped each other; we were all terrified.
"Stay silent." I said. I hoped whoever it was wouldn't hurt us. The lights flashed on and off. I caught a glimpse of a tall, dark figure. Their whole body was covered in black.
"Forget it, run. Run, goddamnit!" Veron yelled. We all sprinted in different direction, Licis grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit. Mahoot and Veron seemed to be going different ways from what I could tell. Faint whispers came from behind me, but I didn't look back. I wanted to live, and I wouldn't stop until I saw something. Anything.
