A Different Path COMPLETED

The fight

       "I thought I'd never see you again," he whispered in my ear, his voice breaking softly as he squeezed me tighter.

        "I know." I felt awkward standing there in our meadow, in Edwards arms like nothing was wrong. The butterflies within me were at war with my plans of vendetta and, at this point, I was absolutely sure who was winning.

         I knew at this point that I had made a mistake coming here. I tried to create an army to destroy my love of my life, Edward Cullen, when I should have known that I would never be able to kill him. I put all my family and friends in harm for such a stupid and idiotic thing, and all because I wanted revenge?

Especially since I should have realized that I could never hurt Edward in the first place.

"Edward, I am so sorry I didn't come home faster, but we have to go back to the beach and save Emmett, Rosalie, and Kate!" I said with the panic in my voice easily detected behind my words.

"Wait, what? We just got here! We just got reunited and now your just gonna have to trust me. I hope your in the mood for a fight, 'cause it's gonna be against some people you used to trust, but it's for family." As I spoke I picked him up effortlessly and put him on my back like he used to do to me before I was a vampire.

Before I had finished my sentence, we were running through the forest towards the beach.
When we got there we saw all the wolves' dead bodies as well as the amazons' and the Denali sisters' body parts spread out all over the beach.

Edward took one long look and finally glanced over at me with a confused face. I turned back with a sheepish grin.
