9 AM, when I usually woke up. Today felt different though. I checked my phone, like any other person my age would in the morning. Still nothing off, so I got out of bed and walked downstairs where I plopped down on the couch, still half asleep. I still couldn't shake this feeling that something was wrong, but I didn't think much of it throughout my morning routine. By the time I'd woken up a bit more, the feeling had somewhat left me, but a glimmer of it still remained in the back of my head. I went back upstairs to get dressed for the day, but as soon as I walked back downstairs someone rang my doorbell.
I answered the door and saw a huge box on my doorstep. Safe to say I wasnt the most sure about what was going on, but I brought the box inside regardless. As I went to get some scissors to open the damn thing, that feeling from earlier became stronger again. I hadn't ordered anything, so maybe it was for the neighbors? Anyway, I opened the box and took a good look at what was inside. It was a bunch of pieces of paper. The box was almost filled to the top with them, which explained the things weight.
My curiosity overtook me and I grabbed one of the pieces of paper, reading what was on it. I instantly realized what it said. It was something I'd told a friend of mine recently, that I was too busy with work to hang out, while I honestly just didn't feel like it. I went through the other papers. They all had something written on them. All about me. Everything I'd done wrong in my life. Every. Single. Thing. Every white lie, every time I'd done anything wrong, it was right here. Black on white. On the side of the box was a note which read: "Do not throw this away." I ignored the note and walked back to my door.
But right there on my door was another note, which wasnt there earlier. "I knew youd ignore it." It said. This definitely freaked me out, and I went outside as quickly as my legs allowed it. But again, on my front porch was another note. "Dont ignore this." it said, but I ignored it and threw the box next to the garbage. When I went back inside, on my table was a note. "I told you to listen." I was honestly getting scared. Who the hell was doing this I grabbed my phone and saw I had a message. "Now you cant leave." I deleted the message and called 911. But instead of the normal response I heard a male voice. "I knew youd do that." the man said. That voice sounded familiar, but I hung up and tried again. Same results.
So I went to the door, trying to go outside, but the door was locked. Then my phone ringed and I picked up. At first there was silence, but the same voice from before spoke up. "Dont hang up." I finally recognized the voice. It was me. So I put the phone on speaker and tried to open the back door instead. Also locked. "Knew you'd do that." I heard my voice chuckle as I walked to a window. I tried to open that, and I got the same result, with the same reaction from the phone.
Finally I'd had enough. I grabbed a chair and threw it at the window, but the chair just bounced back like the window was a brick wall. "Youre so predictable!" the voice laughed and I tried again. I was out of options, so just started ramming the door in desperation. But to my surprise, after a couple of minutes it opened and I fell to the pavement outside. "Finally, youre out!" I heard my own voice laughing at me again, and I looked up to see a black van outside my house. The guy behind the wheel looked exactly like me! Only he was paler, and his eyes were glowing red. But as soon as we made eye contact, he sped off and I never heard from him, or it again.
