There was once a child
Hopeful and bright
His spirits were wild
His smiles were light
In school they loves him
He was fun and never rude
And when things were dim
He could always lighten the mood
But home was an entirely different matter
They'd scream and shout and insult him
His dreams they'd break and shatter
Yet he smiled, keeping sadness at the brim
At school he could smile to hide the tears
Around friends he could laugh to drown the fears
But deep down they gripped tightly to his heart
As the emptiness inside rips him apart
Then one day he could take no more
His mind had finally broke
A slip of a stool hitting the floor
The ultimate deed from which he never awoke
Here lies the boy who lost all hope
His stiff body in tune with the swaying rope
Now I am free from the shouts and barks
Now I have peace within the dark
